Port City brew was a bit of a gusher, surprisingly. Taste is familiar, despite that. The mix of malts is kind of working for me.

People are consumers. Consumers create trash. People are going to keep consuming non-renewables just as squirrels consume acorns. It just is. The nature of our society as it stands. Im doubtful it will change in our lifetime and I’m really not that concerned about it either. The Earth is like an eyeball, it heals itself. Cheers.

...listening to an old mix tape of mine (Say It Ain't So, Little Bubba!"...the track list got wet and I can't make out a lot of the tracks, but here are a few that I was able to nail down...circa early to mid 90s...

...additional musical selections from Funkadelic, Lucinda Williams, Boozoo Chavis, Samite, Jimmie Vaughan, Tom Waits, Buck Cherry, Limp Bizkit, Patty Larkin, Marc Cohn, Bert Jansch, etc.,...my musical tastes run along the same gamut as my beer tastes...

They get low ratings because so many Beer Advocates are stuck up and have some issue with brewing and business practices of macro lager manufacturers even though the taste and characteristics of the beer is exactly what the breweries are going for and are enjoyed by millions on a scale far and beyond what your favorite local IPA will ever be enjoyed upon. Cheers.

Next round. I absolutely love this beer and one brewery I really need to visit next time through SW Ohio (since it's right up the road from Jungle Jims, a favorite stop). This hoppy West Coast-style shah could easily be served on tap at Club Raul. @RaulMondesi

Right up the road from Jungle Jim's may be a bit of a stretch...more like 15 miles probably . But West Side Brewing IS right up the street from my house...about 2 miles. Maybe I'll meet you there for a beer sometime :beers:

    Fun Facts:

West Side Brewing is in a DORA district. You can walk around the area with open adult beverages in plastic cups.

There is a kick ass burger joint in an old firehouse across the street called Nation Kitchen.

Exactly, whether humans are on it or not

I find the balance of food safety and less waste a paradox, in American society at least.

Bearded Iris DDH Citra Tunnel Vision IPA (Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado). The few Bearded Iris IPA's I've had so far have been nothing special, but still quite enjoyable.
This one is full of lemon flesh and zest character, along with yellow grapefruit, pine, floral, and some passionfruit. Quite dry and bitter. Drinks more like a west coast with a NE look and feel.

Samuel Smith Chocolate Stout. Got a 4 pack from someone for my birthday a few weeks ago, I can't believe they've lasted this long!
