Good morning from the other hemisphere Advocates,
I take advantage of a small break in work to put another beer that probably only me will drink (drunk last night), as it comes from an excellent Italian brewery but which obviously does not have the production capacity and the commercial strength to export even beyond of the Ocean. But it has also received recognition at the important Barcelona festival and, in any case, is part of that excellence that has emerged in our young, but quite mature (in my opinion) brewing school.

Liquida Birrificio Indipendente (Ostellato, ITA) - CIGNO NERO - Coffee Stout (5,5%)

With infusion of a blend of coffee from the Gardelli Specialty Coffees roasting (Forlì, Emilia-Romagna, ITA) awarded at the World Coffee Roasting Championship.
Poured in three stages, it is wonderful: impenetrable black with abundant and soft beige foam that descends, while the beer rises ... wonderful.
Roasted and toasted notes on the nose.
In the mouth flowing body, but not at all watery ("watery"), minimal carbonation, but present.
In the mouth clear notes of coffee and roasting: from toasted to dark chocolate, hazelnut with a hint of woody bark note.
Taste of the right intensity, with an aromatic range always tending to roast / bitter until the finish.
I also notice a slight metallic note, not intrusive and that does not spoil the beer.
During drinking, even the notes of dark chocolate emerge in an important way, even with a slight sweetness.
Very tasty drink and supported by an average body which, I would like to specify, I would not have expected from a 5.5% Coffee Stout.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Jack_14 for starting today's thread and for choosing such a tasty brew! I wish I had one of them up next! Today's New Breakfast Beer for me:

A bit less add-junky than your average AAL, so it rates over a 3 - rating 3.21, rDev -11.1%. Basically odorless and nearly tasteless.

    Evening all!

Cocky Stout from Woolstore Brewery in the town of Mt. Gambier, maybe 3.5 hours west of here just over the South Australian border. The town is situated on an extinct volcano's lip and is famous for its sink holes as well as a lake whose water changes from cobalt blue to grey over the course of a year as natural chemicals leach from the underlying bedrock.

A cocky in Australia doesn't refer to an arrogant man, rather it's either a large white bird with a piecing scream for a call or an old dairy or sheep farmer, who'll be known as a cattle cocky or sheep cocky. No idea why!

The beer itself is quite inoffensive; an easy drinker catering to the local crowd who still prefer the well-worn local industrial lager options. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Cheers, and have a great Tuesday!

Good brewery and good beer, but it definitely needs to warm up more to draw out the sweetness.

    Cheers!

Drinking Lawson's Double Sunshine Ruby Red Grapefruit. This beer is dangerously drinkable. Yesterday when I posted Double Sunshine, I drank it pretty quick and immediately wanted another one. I grabbed another beer, but it had a much lower ABV
