All right, need to find a late lunch somewhere...which means I got to go and walk out in the 95+ degree day ha. Luckily a good cocktail bar with a great burger is a ten minute walk...will be back later if this heat doesn't melt me in the mean time (you would think I'd be use to it by now ha)

Good afternoon, advocates. Settling in w/ some Tavern King from Hop Butcher. Sometimes I'm completely underwhelmed by their offerings, but this one is on point. Well done. Cheeers!

CloudWater tap take-over nearby sounds like a nice opportunity.
I'm just a consumer, but some of my local (and more critical) beer friends have moved away from Cloudwater in recent years. Not getting to the brewery rep fits in with their complains about arrogance (among some more things) at Cloudwater I guess. I still like their beers. And don't want to give them bad press or anything like that.
Price tags since Brexit keep me away from Cloudwater (Manchester, UK for who is not into Cloudwater) for the moment
    Cheers!

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25
1st Review. Next Wedge introduces, features Bravo and Lotus.
    a) Lace last over hazed apricot body.
    s) Melon, peach, grass, hemp.
    t) Fresh melon, vanilla, berries, white grape and stone fruit.
    f) Juicy, abundant, clean and smooth finish.
    o) Best of Wedges? Much better in cans than on tap!

    Lab Flasks | Equilibrium | NY | 2xIPA | 8.5%

. I’m stunned how good this is. From Middletown NY to Middletown NJ.
    a) Grapefruit type hazed body w slick lace and last.
    s) Wood, melon, citrus, balance, pepper.
    t) More and larger of the aroma, with more shellac and pine sap, spice, and pepper.
    f) The pepper works in the bite.
    o) Piquant, perfection.

    Impact Wrench | Industrial Art | NY | 3xIPA | 10%
    4.24
    look: 3.75 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5
Surprisingly IMPACT Wrench for me is the best of the wrench series. All have some burn, but it works best here.
    a) More apricot than grapefruit colored body, with little lace or last but pretty.
    s) Powerful pineapple, resin, wood, and ash.
    t) More smoke and sawmill fresh wood, with peach, zest, and grass and more pine added.
    f) ZESTY finale. but Balanced. ABV present, almost after-dinner drink like.
    o) A power 3x IPA.

Took the son to see Dr. Strange earlier. Not the best Marvel movie but had some good Sam Raimi stuff going on. Later I picked up some new cans for Jersey Cyclone’s 3rd anniversary. I’ll be drinking them later. But with the cold and rain, I thought I’d start off with doing a side by side with half a bottle of Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout and half a can of Brooklyn Black Ops. Was going to post on the side by side thread but feeling too lazy for a big write-up. So it goes here instead. Cheers!

Good afternoon, Advocates! A tad cooler in Western NC today with temps in the low to mid 60's along with some gusty winds. Spent a good chunk of the day with Da Boss in Greenville and Spartanburg, SC on the run to Costco, Total Wine, and lunch in between.
Today's choice is a shining star from Fremont, something i looked for while in WA about a year ago and could not find but a friend found in Colorado during the Holidays. Man, this is world class, probably better than the original BCBS!
Listening to Sirius XM Lithium and caught this tune. Heard a story about Ed Roland's perspective recently about Collective Soul's internal strife with co-member selfishness and immaturity. Probably my favorite song from that band.
    Cheers!

    Hello fellow advocates.
Today, a glorious one for weather and for all things outdoors.

Pic 1: puttin in the weekend long run work. Shot by my lovely wife.
Pic 2: sample trail in Mueller, one of the few stretches that is flat. Wild turkeys were streaking across this trail, but of course I didn't get a ONE in the frame. I suck.
Pic 3: Hot mess of mashed potatoes, shredded rotisserie chicken, gravy, and brocc/n'cheese that I destroyed after the run.
Featured: Cumbre's Father Nelson DIPA. Probably not a smart choice as a first beer but hell with it...

    Cheers!

First cup was mostly foam indeed. But not that bad. Somewhat like a Westmalle sundae, but not frozen. Westmalle needs some pouring one way or another.
That record store sounds like an awesome place to me.
    Cheers!
