    Goes with the song..The River is an epic blue collar album. I first heard it back in Scotland. Struck a cord. I was lower working class..and we too went down to the river to drink, f&ck and have a good time ( only in the summer). Bruce will always be with me..and I with him

    Typically only have one beer per day at home, but had to crack out a second to mourn the passing of Ray Liotta.

    Goodfellas is one of my favorite films of all time, still boycotting "Dances With Wolves" for the audacity of that film winning Best Oscar. Perhaps I'll get around to watching more than the few minutes I've watched of Field of Dreams sometime this year.

    Dark brown body, opaque; one-finger thick head, dark tan color; splotchy, stringy patches of foam cling to the glass. Huge dark malt flavor with a bold, bourbon overtone; cocoa and bitter chocolate; raisins and figs; a bit of brown sugar. Heavy body; rich and sludgy; plenty of alcohol heat.

    This is another edition of this beer that is just as good as early versions. It is an intense beer, malty and boozy yet appropriately balanced for the intended purpose.

    Day off and I'm hot and thirsty. I could have drank this in one gulp, but it's perfect for the moment.

    I was going to smoke some ribs today but the bottom of the smoker rusted out and collapsed so I had to go buy a new smoker, and then spend an hour putting it together. So the ribs will have to wait until tomorrow, they can soak-in the rub in the meantime.
