Moving on from Pilsner to IPAs. This one is really good, and not juicy

Just finished setting up my new weather station, my old one died after several years. All I have left to do is put up the anemometer and wind direction unit which I will do tomorrow. It's already paired though and the unit is connected to my wi-fi network. Pretty impressed with it so far.

LOL - I love having a weather station, I've been missing it since my last one died a week ago.

Gotta have the wind speed function though, and this one also has a self emptying rain gauge and wind direction which my previous one didn't have.

 

We're heading down there tomorrow for the long weekend as well. Not looking forward to the drive but definitely looking forward to getting away and loitering on the beach for a few days with our close friends. Enjoy your weekend!

I’m pretty excited to stock up on some world class beers this weekend headed south to North Carolina to stock up on olde mecklenburg and red oak. I also found out today a store I frequent in Richmond is getting a huge order of schilling so I’ll be stopping by there as well.

 

Apparently if you're a beer geek, there's a good chance that you're a weather geek too. I have two Davis weather stations,running on Raspberry Pi's. (Maybe I'm a tech geek too - apologies.) This one is in the process of dying (loses data overnight); this one has been fairly reliable. Great fun to set up on the RPI's because you have to ignore all the standard setup instructions and figure things out for yourself.

 

Woa. this is a damn fine brew.

He's just about back to normal after the knee surgery. Loves roaming the yard before bedtime. Not sure if that hair is ever gonna grow back. Might have been a toupee...
