Yummy! And Benjamin Franklin was ambassador to France at the beginning of America. He was merely a writer, scientist, inventor, statesman, diplomat, printer, publisher, and political philosopher. He liked Bordeaux wines and French women He was odd looking but the bastard was charming. Take a gander at the USS Constitution, Old Ironsides, that is still in operation out of Boston. I was astonished by that vessel

Pliny the Elder at Monks Cafe in Philadelphia. If all IPAs were like this, I'd drink them all the time.

And now, a beer I always grab at least one of (and that’s all the store had) when I see it, pFriem Pilsner:

The date on this is horizontally bifurcated-O, superscript lowercase g, and 4 roundish symbols that had an eraser lightly dragged across their midriff. I took this to be May or, more likely, March of this year.

Meal looks great but I have to ask, do French Fries taste better in France? Asking for a friend.

I think so. As far as I know, when you order fries in France you mainly get them “Belgian style” - thick and fried twice. America has so many different styles of fries (regular, steak, shoestring, crinkle, etc.) that’s it’s hard to compare.

And don't forget the hugely popular and absolutely tasteless American cheese.

My 2 granddaughters are in French immersion school here, they are required to speak French exclusively for all their lessons. Both have become very good at it to the point that when they want to hide what they are saying the speak French. My joke to them is I want to go with them to France some day so we can get really good fries and toast. A ta Sante!

I think shoestring and crinkle cut are the worst. The ones on his plate looked awesome.

Here's The USS Constitution. It is the oldest ship still in commission and is truly a must see.

I would certainly recommend Britanny/Bretagne. Unless they want to go to Alsace/Strasbourg on the other side of France.

Paris is only worthy for a couple of days visiting some highlights. Send me a PM when you guys are around here and I can pinpoint some good locations, or regions.
