    Good morning/evening @SawDog505 and all the virtual bar to come!

    Today's beer, Guldenburg by Brouwerij de Ranke from Belgium, is unfortunately really disappointing. It had a freshly-opened texta (or sharpie, as the kids say) aroma hiding under the usual Belgian nose, and a slight petrol/plastic taste in there as well. Stressed yeast, I suppose, or maybe a beer that didn't survive the trip from Belgium to Oz?

    Anyway, a good win by Geelong in the footy, and for the girl at her netball, so the sporting world is good today (I'm sure not everyone agrees with me there!) even if the beer isn't.

    It’s unbearably hot today in this part of Western Europe that normally don’t have such temperatures right before even the summer. Expecting a peak of 38c (a bit over 100F) this afternoon. I’m definitely not biologically hardwired to handle this so Chimay Tripel as a refreshment before trying to nap a bit this Saturday.

    Good day BAs! Thanks @SawDog505 for starting today's thread! Off to a cold start today, 53 F/ 11 C, and cloudy - that's about 40 degrees F colder than yesterday - NWPA weather sucks! Yesterday I mowed the yard, finished painting the raised garden beds, got some trimming done in the milkweed patch, and hung out with our grand dogger, who is staying the weekend.
    Today's New Breakfast Beer is over a year old, a miss-spent youth hanging out in one of my reefers:

    Decent DIPA, despite having spent a year in the cooler - smells piney and tastes dank - Rating 3.91, rDev 0% (First entry).

    Sunrise Kingdom is a locally brewed DIPA. 8% Pacific Sunrise and Mosaic hops are used. It’s a delight and super refreshing after a quick rest and nap:
