    Back home from cat duties and enjoying a 7/4. I've got 2 projectile launching devices cleaned and 4 to go. I don't think I'll ever forget the smell of Hoppe's #9, it's like a love/hate relationship. Kinda like the first time you walk into Alchemist and are hit with the wonderful brewery smells. On a side note I'd like to thank my mom for having me....

    Bill Evans time. First time spinning Inner Spirit. With Mark Johnson and Joe LaBarbera. His last trio before he passed. The Paris Concerts were recorded a few months after this (with the same group), and those are some of my favorites of Evans' career. Really glad to have both now. Posthumous Bill Evans releases have become an entire enterprise in itself though ha. Anyway, this is a legit one.

    Fair Isle Madame R. Galle in the glass. A wonderful Saison, but this has just a touch of age on it, and is taking on more a Gueuze character as all the bugs and wild yeast are taking over. I'm not complaining, this is great.

    Sox lose again. Reinsdorf La Russa karma just keeps on keeping on.

    Golden yellow body, crystalline clear; little detectable carbonation bubbles; relatively thick, frothy, white head. The smell has an overall fair light malt and herbal scent. Excellent cracker and biscuit malt base; mineral notes; mild herbal hop presence. Medium body; smooth and crisp; light warmth overall; semi-dry mouthfeel.

    I like this sample better than from six years ago. It seems to have a bit more fullness and roundness to its character with classic light malt and modest noble hop qualities.

    March 03rd, 2016 review:

    Sharp and clear gold colored body; lots of lively carbonation; thick, sudsy head. The aroma emits a mild, crystal malt sweetness; caramel; faint grass and herbal character. Mild malt sweetness; biscuit and bread crust; nice hop bitterness. Light body; crisp; dry finish.

    A light, dry, refreshing German ale that should satisfy anyone looking for such things in a beer. Fairly malty upfront but with a subtle flair. The bitterness balances things nicely. Well done, overall...
