Next new beer is De Struise Sjovoev. Black Damnation 30. A Blegian Royal Stout from Flanders aged for 1 year in bourbon barrels from Versailles, Kentucky. Comes in at 13% ABV. Fantastic stuff.

Hair of The Dog Brewery -- Otto From the Wood

Another strong ale winner from Hair of The Dog. It has the standard weak head expected from their bottle conditioning while the aroma and taste are just heavenly for a high ABV beer. The few bits of pulpy sediment were interesting (no, I didn't pour the bottle gently to leave the sediment in the bottom). It really did taste and look a bit like fruit pulp. One for the history books...

One of my all time favorite 60's albums, finally found a first US edition (the UK version, at least here are all but impossible to find, and are incredibly expensive).

We Are the Village Green Preservation Society, God save Donald Duck, and Variety
We Are The Draught Beer Preservation Society...

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in the glass (needed an English Bitter of some kind for this album, but of coarse I can't find that packaged anymore ugh).

Good afternoon, advocates. I've been doing chores since 9am. I'm finally finished! Walked the dog, now settling in w/ some Yankees baseball and a Stone IPA. I feel good. Cheers!

Another new beer, and likely my last for the night. The Oracle, a Belgian barleywine. Fermented with Trappist yeast and coming in at 10.7% ABV. Brewed by White Pony Microbrewery in Belgium. On BA, this is called a quad. Not sure why this is the case since it's literally labeled as a barleywine on the bottle. Might need to change that! Fantastic beer!
