I don't think there's such a thing as a bad Flemish red or brown, but this one pushes the boundary - BB Aug 2022 - and I think they are usually good for several years (?). Still drinkable however. Rating 3.4, rDev -9.8%.

 

Feeling like shit and having a beer is still better than feeling like shit and being totally out of beer.

 

Got back from a 3.5 h mtb ride in and around one of the terrils in Northern France. Now beer time! Cheers

 

Straight up Nelson NEDIPA and sorry @TheIPAHunter but I prefer Nelson with a friend. Still real tasty, but the buttery Chardonnay is off the charts.

 

Stepped out today fir a morning stroll and the humidity was higher than the temperature, which itself was on the high end for the early morning. So I decided to head to the gym, which is a too rare occurrence these days. We’ll see how sore I am tomorrow even though I went light.

I read on this one website how shower beers might be good for you. Since I’d like to believe it, it must be true. I think that’s how things work these days. So post-workout beer:


Westbrook’s Lemon Cucumber Gose is just as refreshing from the bathroom as it was at the beach last week.

This beer is pretty bad. Odd flavor and aroma. Feels like drinking liquid straw mixed with vinegar.
I think I can finish it but this is one of the worst Helles I've ever had

Yesterday I paid 4,49 €/$ for this beer in our local supermarket. Today it was 5,99 €/$. Still, it is a bargain compared to US prices, so I understood from yesterday's comments.
Mus be an error in the supermarkets pricing system that explains the (relatively) low price.

Really cool and pleasant Saturday morning - got a 2 mile hike in, followed by a great canoe paddle on our lake here - life is good! Emma approved!
Some boat resto work after lunch, then dinner with the gf later.....not a bad day!
