That is an ideal assortment of brews on tap...cheers!

 

Stone can I get a drink runner please? Great imperial berliner. Aromas are super bretty barnyard peppery funk with some mint and woody notes. Taste is tart/sour lemon, lime, peach, green apple, white grape, hay, straw, wood, grass, mint, peppercorn, wood, wheat, bread, lacto, Brett funk. Medium tart/sour/tangy fruit and fairly spicy Brett finish. Medium plus carb, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, sticky hops, lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannic mouthfeel. Drying acid/tannic finish with no pucker/astringency. Mild warmth of 8%. Smooth sipper. Was not expecting as big of a Brett profile in the nose but there is a lot of wild complexity and nice fruit presence. Very well made for the style. 4

Surprisingly the liquor/beer store I usually stay away from was actually open today. This is what I came out with. Its pretty tasty imo.

For the pulled beef, a chuck roast. I'm doing "poor man's" burnt ends, so a large-ish cut of top round.

Happy 4th BA's! It is awesome to live in a country as great as the USA and i am thankful for our ability to live our lives in our own fashion!

Today's first choice is from a smaller SC brewer that so far has agreed with my palate, brewing Belgians and lagers. Suspect i have an older can but would have this one again as this checks the German Pils boxes!

It’s 9:30ish am here, I’m 4 beers in, and the day is young (read I’m catching a beer buzz)…is this a great Country or what?

Lush and beautiful…the Hilo side of the island is rainy (especially in the summer) but our friends love the mild temperatures year round, and coming from Florida, we’re loving the breezy 70s to low 80s days and mid 60s nights…house hunting?…

I have some plans in place. @tolar111 been showin off his Hamms. It Hasn’t made past Capital district yet. I’m going to Cooperstown next week for the Opera. Didn’t take too much convincing as lunch at the brewery hopefully, and maybe some Hamms from the local Stewards.
