OK. One more b4 returning to shrubs & trees. Summit Triumphant Session IPA.
So I didn't sleep but a wink last night. The neighbors were up all night shagging like mad...moaning & screaming...bangin' the headboard off the wall. Turns out the gal's elderly mother was visiting and ended up fallin' down the feckin' stairs. Cryin' out for help all night. The ambulance left and I dozed... :beers:Cheers!

Off work early. Time to enjoy a nice cold Blackberry Farm Classic Saison, bottled version. I used to see this on the shelves at stores all the time. I think the stupid hard seltzers may have knocked it off the shelves.

    Welp, all I'm doing today.

Found another NA UA survivor in the back of the almost-empty beer fridge (*sniffles*) so it's going down. Went to an Outer Range tap takeover at a nearby climbing gym last night and things got a little out of hand.

Day off (or many) from the real stuff; my body just doesn't take the multiple big beers anymore. Damn.

Anyhoo - have a great day, and weekend, if I don't check in soon. I think I'm gonna risk the minor hip thing and just jog that 30k for the vertical tomorrow...hopefully doesn't flare into something major. Fingers crossed. Be well...

    Cheers!

A shower beer this hot sunny morning - Ola Brew’s (Hilo, HI) IPA:

After visiting Southern Point and the cliffs/jumping yesterday, we continued our drive up along the south western side of the island (long, twisty, nothing to see/do) and eventually stopped for lunch and a swim at Pu’uhonau o Hōnaunau National Park:

There is a great picnic beach parking lot if you drive past the visitor’s center and out of the main parking lot…otherwise, the main park, with lots to see, is considered sacred - no fishing, no picnic, no frisbee, no ball tossing, etc. Mrs. Z playing with some kids in a tidal pond. Cool zebra fish swimming about too:

The place of “refuge” and burial site of King Kamehameha’s ancestors. Until the early 1800s, if you had broken an islands law (Kapu) or were a warrior on the losing side of battle, if you could swim to this sacred refuge (each island had at least one), your crime(s) were absolved by priests and you could return home. I looked for the beer drinking Gods for some absolution with Mrs. Z, and just my luck, the priests had packed up for the day…
