Apparently, it's hard for me to take more than one day away from beer.

Got in a 30k today, part of the Pikes Peak Ultra series (50 miler, 50k, 30k, 20k options). This seemed like a sane but good option to maintain training. Beautiful day out there; just lucky as hell that it was cool this morning, had just rained, the usual broken granite was just wet enough from yesterday's rains to stay runnable. Fantastic. Good climbing too, some 3200 feet of vertical.
Decided to go to my local and enjoy one of my usual favorites.

I’m visiting a new (to me) brewery: Gearblock Bewing Company, in Waldwick, NJ. Nice place! Starting with Galactic Explosion, a hazy Double NEIPA hopped with Galaxy, Vic Secret, and Ella. Damn, this is fine! Great balance of tRt and sweet fruit and bitter, biting hops.

 

Seems like a good idea on this hot afternoon ..

 

West Coast Red V.2 at Gearblock Brewing Co. This is first rate. I’m impressed!

 

I put in a good workout today. Chillin back at home before running some errands.

Enjoying a beautiful first day of vacation on the deck! I forgot my coworker got me this crowler from WBW(Wilmington Brew Works) when they released this: “Mechanical Dissonance “ rum barrel aged imperial stout. Still has carbonation and I could smell the rum as soon as I opened it!

The label on my bottle doesn't have HELL on it as yours reads but it's best b4 date is 04 Oct 2022. That's comforting. It's one hell of a refreshing beer. Smooth and very tasty with the lemon slice. Prost! and I dunno what's up with my camera. The lay lines and magnetic fields that run under my shack must mess it up when I face to the SE. Every time. Ha!
