What beer are you drinking now? #3582

Crucial Taunt4 from the Veil. Quadruple dry-hopped, as if double no longer fits the bill. Big on aromas and flavors; however, it's lacking in the mouthfeel. I prefer a more dense, chewy feel w/ my DIPAs. I miss getting cans from @vabeerguy; that time was special. Now I can just drop by my local and get whatever I want w/o price gouging. The options we have available to us now are insane. I'm thankful. Peace...


Shout out to a beautiful, albeit young, Lauryn Hill in this video. She later went on to fame in that group called The Fugees. Their album, The Score, was a pretty big deal. Yes, I'm saying this tongue-in-cheek. Much love.

 

Bernard Family Brewery -- Dark Lager (Ćerný)
Unfiltered dark lager
ABV: 5.0%; pouring temperature: 43 F; bottling info: 21.06.21-21.06.18 (it's a little old)



...I've had some interesting email correspondence with two of the brewery's export reps about the date of their Bohemian Ale (it was also produced in December 2017). They first cautioned me not to drink it (too late - plus it was good!), and were surprised that some of their old bottles were still around. They said that they have a new US importer. Anyway, I assured them that even if this isn't how their brewery would want someone to be introduced to their beers, at five years of aging, I thought they were still pretty enjoyable...this dark lager also is pretty good at over five years of age...

 

Another Zywiec, another kinda positive surprise. I mean, sure, it's not great, but again, it's pretty drinkable and refreshing in these fucking temperatures.

 

I don't know what to really think about "Italian Pilsner" as a style, but I like a good clean pilsner, and I like dry hopped beers, so a beer that merges the two is fine with me.
