    Took the train to Southampton today. Did some sightseeing and visited two art galleries. Drank a pint at Dancing Man Brewery - “Big Time Bill”:

    A very good IPA brewed with Citra and Simcoe. Great brewery down at the wharf.

    Great beer for an equally great brewery. I loved Maduro their brown ale, too. And cigar city lager was also incredible. Long gone are the days I could find them though.

    It may have something to do with this move last January....Monster has agreed to buy CANarchy Brewery Collective, which includes Oskar Blues, Florida’s Cigar City Brewing Co., Dallas’ Deep Ellum Brewing Co., Michigan’s Perrin Brewing Co., and Utah’s Squatters and Wasatch breweries.

    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

    Great looks; clear, golden colored body; dense, robust carbonation; thick head, white and spongy, sticky sheets and fingers of foam inside the glass. Light, bready malt aroma infused with grassy, floral hop notes. Light malt flavor carrying a moderate hop bitterness; light bread crust; peppery hop, zesty hop character; clean tasting. Medium-light body; crisp; mild dryness.

    A nice pilsner providing a simple malt base profile and moderate hop bitterness. This beer utilized Amarillo hops, but, as I understand that hop profile, I don't perceive much citrus or tropical fruit character. More a floral note with just a trace of esters lurking in the background. But I generally don't quibble over advertised hops used and my general impression of the beer. It's simply good. That's enough for me.

    I know I posted this photo earlier, but look at the middle of the glass on the right side. A heart! What a talented bartender. I thought only coffee shops did that. Maybe she does both.
