Oktoberfest at home with bratwurst, corn and Tröegs. Cheers!

 

Southern pines kolsch. Very nice. Mellow nose of plum/apple fruit. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, white bread, herbal, wood, grass, peppercorn, pine, and yeast earthiness. Moderate pine/herbal bitter finish. Medium carb, lt-med body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy and sticky/resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resin drying with no hop astringency. Refreshing. Zero warming 4.5%. A bit too bitter, but otherwise well made for the style. Clean malts and balanced earthy hops. 3.88

This one is a little disappointing. A Czech dark lager brewed in Poland. Too sweet for my taste but does have a hint of roast in the after taste that I enjoy. I really want to find Czechvar dark to compare.

I got a couple dozen barely legal sized little necks and my wife has requested I sauté them in oil,garlic and wine and put them over fresh pasta. She's hard to say no to.

Toppling Goliath Dino Park DIPA as my BA Fantasy Football draft looms. I am picking last, not skerred...

 

Good beer helps, but Yeesh. My brothers and I used to ride the trains or buses when it got too hot back in the day.

 

Sip was brewed by Two Roads in CT because they had the needed capacity. I don’t know if I’m remembering correctly, but that facility may have been turned into a Lawson’s facility or it may have been moved to another Lawson’s facility. But I might be misremembering.

I’ve not visited the new Lawson’s brewery in VT but family members who have gone love it.

 

We did ok for not having radar detector....125 mph a few times!!

 

Closing out the evening with a Stone IPA and a few hits of Texas Shoreline. Out of all the ones I've tried, that strain is my favorite - gets you pretty whacked.

I think going throughout their usual distribution areas but quantity is on the lower side.

 

I saw you drinking it so when I saw some today I figured I'd scoff a 4 pack. It is really good, very rich - I can only do one in a night. I'd buy it again - I'd like to see it a bit cheaper somewhere else.
