    Got my trail run in this morning - felt great. Just got back from the daughter's soccer game. They lost, but she killed it as goaltender. Super aggressive and saved a bunch. So proud.

    Drinking Oil of Aphrodite Extra Reserve. Tons of bourbon, maple, and walnuts. Excellent beer! Cheers all.

    ...that's the second screw...apparently I was a bit too aggressive with my physical rehab and was beginning to pull the original (smaller) screw out, so I had another 2 1/2 hour surgery to implant the deck screw...the interesting thing is, the ortho surgeon who ordered the x-ray you saw (and there's an interesting back story to how this visit came about, but that tale is for another time), she consulted with the USAFA ortho surgeon who was doing my upcoming knee replacement and a trauma surgeon -- they're opinion was that, despite the broken plates and if I wasn't having any problems (I wasn't) then they didn't see any need to do anything, although the primary ortho did state she'd at least take the screw out...any way, looks like permanent hardware for me...:stuck_out_tongue:

    Its a D4. It was built in Westerly RI in the 80s/90s. I purchased It new in early 90s I believe at Ross Music on Mineral Spring in NP. Solid spruce top but the back is laminated and nicely formed...its not flat but contoured. Really great sounds that got better with age

    Have a good end of the weekend. Slept to 3PM today after watching Lord of the Rings The Two Towers last night. Theatrical rifftrax dual audio. Not read the books yet, but I know the lore from reading most of the Hobbit so far as last weel. First time I've seen that movie.

    We went to Publix for the first time and got a good amount of groceries. Great store. Beer selection not as good as Lowes, but it's adequate. I also cleared out the whole sushi shelf and it was well worth it. High quality and we still have the big platter and the deluxe salmon roll left over because I was filled up pretty quickly. Also had leftover chili.

    12/4/2017 Salted Caramel Dragons Milk. Still tasting great but more molasses and vanilla tones from the caramel candy aspect than I recall. Better fresh for the dulce de Leche aspect. Warming/boozy finish.
