...thawed out what I thought were whole chicken wings and was looking forward to hot wings for lunch...they were four chicken thighs instead, so found a skillet-based balsamic lemon chicken dish served with a salad with home grown tomatoes and sweet peppers (Italian and bell peppers) with some potato salad...an okay chicken dish but nicely loaded with various veggies...

LOL. Last time I was at Corks and Kegs I asked him about Dinner. He set me straight on that one, says only available at the brewery.
It does show up on tap around here every so often. In fact, as I write. I've been meaning to get to the bar that currently has it, but like @budsNpils it'll prolly be 86 by the time I make it.

It was - I could just tear it apart with a fork. I usually do them in the Instant Pot but today I decided to do it old school since I'm home working all day anyways. Basically i sliced up a fairly good sized onion and sauteed it till it was getting tinges of brown, then I removed it from the pan.

Added a bit more olive oil and browned the pot roast well on all sides - I cut the pot roast into 3 chunks since I think it cooks better that way. Once all the pieces were nicely browned, I removed them from the pan and deglazed the pan with some red wine to get up all the charred bits.

Next I added 2 stalks of celery cut into 4ths, sliced carrots, and added the onion back in and added a fair amount of chopped garlic to the pan, a couple of sprigs of fresh rosemary, and 3 sprigs of fresh thyme. I put the pot roast in on top of all the veggies and then added beef stock to about 3/4 up the side of the roast. Cover the pot and put it in a 275 degree oven and cook it for about an hour per pound, until it's fork tender and you can shred it with the fork.

Oh yeah, I generously salted and peppered the pot roast before browning it. Don't be tempted to open the pot until the cooking time has elapsed. Cheers!

Note: I cooked it in a 5.5 quart cast iron Dutch oven.

Checking out after this one BA's. All is still well, breezy but cool, feels like about 68 which is awesome. The winds are supposed to grow to 40-60 by daybreak so we'll see what that brings. CCB Fancy Papers...

Little Whaleboat is my least favorite - i bought two bottles once and would not buy it again. I think Wolfe's Neck is my favorite from them.

Corks and Kegs is the place I can get MBC brews. Sometimes I see them at Total Wine but the bottles are like 100 years old (ok, I exaggerate).
