Happy Friday! I’ve been home sick and recovering since Wednesday! I tried to work Wednesday, but had to find someone to cover my route Wednesday morning. Hopefully, this recent release will be a nice “home remedy “ to aid in my convalescence! Levante, King of the Campfire “ S’mores Imperial Stout! Some good music should help, too!

Greetings folks. Long week finally over.

I don't remember buying this. But here goes nothing.

 

West Virginia is an unsung beer state. We were just down there last month and I had a couple of the best IPAs ever. Honest. One of them, from Stumptown, was the West Coast IPA I've been looking for, for years. Bummer was, I had it "second-hand", so will never know exactly what it was. So, I have a fondness for the state, and their brews. Good luck to you.

@defunksta, I'm always curious as to your procedure. How to do set up the blind tastings? Do you have a magician's assistant? How do you actually do the tastings? A sip here, a sip, there, or what?
And do you finish all the cans/bottles?

Poured at 54°. Delicious! I need to restock my mini fridge in the garage with a few more to drink in October…yikes!, tomorrow is the first Saturday in October which means monthly bottle share! I stopped by the pub on my way into town and the bar’s power turned back (after 2 days) on while I was buying a few beers out of a still semi cool cooler and I was talking to owner Amanda. We decided we are going forward with the share tomorrow at 3pm, so come join us! Cheers from “#we dodged a huge bullet” St. Petersburg FL!

 

These are a few pictures my wife took from the car on the Notch Rd traveling from Smugglers Notch down to Stowe. A short part of it is really narrow and curves to the point that you can’t see cars coming the other way. The locals drive it like it’s Broadway at noon.
