Not sure if posts were taken down earlier regarding the discussion about the thread. I literally didn't know there were forums beyond the once GOAT Great Lakes Forum my first three plus years here. Found this gathering late 2019, and been returning daily, Cal Ripken style, since I returned from Vegas in March 2020. Was a fun routine when we were isolated which I have enjoyed after we have returned back to normal.

Enjoy the conversations. Skip over posts regarding politics and a couple other subjects. I also ignore political avatars.

Like how the conversations go here with minimal divisiveness. Come back for the music, camaraderie and beer. Have had much fun, learned a lot, met several solid BAs live and hope this continues well into the future.

Thank you! I assume you mean the Cuyahoga Valley National Park? Yep, that lovely place is just north of me by about 20 minutes! I typically hike in the Summit County Metroparks, but I do frequent the CVNP and the Cleveland Metroparks too! We are blessed with many great parks around here!

Pils - Fair State Brewing Co-op

 

The owner of a local shop told me that he got some Pliny in today. I asked him for one, but he said I have to get one from the cooler instead (which I understand). The freshest one was bottled September 1. I passed. Having this beautiful one instead:

Picked up this brew today, after our morning walk - made by Millersburg Brewing Co.....very tasty

 

The last of my Hofbrau Dunkel, man I'm running out of beer...well not really but almost getting time to revisit the store and spend more money...

Spinning the wonderful Vijay Iyer album Uneasy. With bassist Linda May Han Oh, and drummer Tyshawn Sorey. ECM albums are always killer.

The glass is pretty cool and unique as well. Which brewery is that?

 

Its Real Ale's, from Blanco Texas. Its for their Rain Czech Pils. A collaboration they did with a bar chain called The Flying Saucer for their anniversary a few years ago. Using rain water they collected. As I recall it was really good.

 

Better than average Oktoberfest from Hi Wire.

My buddies and I are checking it out tomorrow...

 

In the Virtual Bar a Throb by any other name would probably still taste like a Throb. Which is described fairly well on the can. Sorry, that’s all I got. I’ll show myself out.

 

Yeah, they started in Dallas, and have a bigger following here probably than the few other states they have locations in.
