The G.O.A.T. coffee stout, in the discussion for best BCB variant (along with greats like OG Vanilla, OG Rare and a couple of the reserves like Double Barrel ‘19, Blantons, Reserve ‘17) , and a beer that’s truly in the elite of the elite. Not sure why it took them so long for them to bring it back but thankful that they finally did!

 

One more day of beer drinking. Cheers!

 

Very mediocre imo, maybe it was better when fresher. I'm glad I just grabbed 1 tho.

Just got the house lights up before the rain rolled in. I usually like to have some OH Green City for the Jets games, but alas I am out and don't feel like driving to the stores. So, a Finback IPA will do. At least it's a NY-brewed beer with a green label

Its a beautiful day, so courtyard, beer and book time. 3 Fonteinen Homage. Review over at the NBW thread. Oh man this is intensely sour. Not my favorite from the brewery or the Fruit Lambic style, as I have had ones that are better balanced for my tastes.

About an hour ago---(slow wifi)- At Little House Brewing drinking Rare Candy, one of my fav NEIPAs that they sometimes have on tap. Ivory wants some of our pear gorgonzola pizza, but she only ended up with some crust.

 

Finally got around to joining the virtual bar today.

Had to pick up a bottle, now digging in:


My favorite brewery and the best barrel program in IL, IMO. Good sweetness and barrel blended together.

May need some more barrel aged immune protection with the rest of the house having a bug. Catch you all later!

 

Dark lager from civil society. Really nice, easy drinking, schwarzbier. Low on the smoky notes, high on the cocoa and roast. Very enjoyable. Going well with watching the Dolphins look competent for the first time in my lifetime.

Not going to lie I drain poured the rest of that Party Trick IPA. Just wasn't enjoyable to me. With all the better beers I have in the fridge I said fuck it. This is definitely a hell of a lot better.
