Bottled 28June18. Poured at 60°. Good stuff with plenty of alcohol (15.2%) heat in the mouth. Not much else going on today. Cheers and have a great Sunday!

A pretty good Scotch ale/Wee Heavy, a style I normally find a little too sweet but this guy is spot on!

 

Equilibrium is sending ultra fresh brews in NH these days and the price has dropped. Yes please.

2018 version, tastes a bit thin and a boozy nose.
I’m reading a true crime about a serial killer from Provincetown, Ma., pretty good read. What I found interesting is the author has parallelized Norman Mailer and Kurt Vonnegut to the story as they were on the Cape writing at the time of the murders. Vonnegut wrote Slaughterhouse 5 in a house he lived in on Scudder Lane for years in Barnstable, Ma. during that time period. Doubly interesting to me is I found out that I walk by that house every time I go clamming. My brush with greatness I guess.

2 weeks until Christmas - yikes, I still have lots to do! Better get off my butt today and get moving

The gf and I made the trek down to Wooly Pig Farm Brewery in Fresno OH yesterday afternoon - wanted to try Kevin's Holiday Lager with local persimmon fruit - super freakin' delicious!! Got a coupla growlers full of this beer - probably one of the best holiday beers I have had.....this 1899 Pils is also amazing! Bought a 4 pk of this sweet brew nectar!

Windy as hell right now in Casper but when it stops, snow will be moving in.

Another beer from Brewvana that is excellent. Straight forward Stout that is pleasing to my palate. I have to go and review it so sees you later.

Drinking Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout 2022 edition

 

Was going to open this. I put these in the freezer last night to have one and got a text about a gathering. Forgot till this morning. These cans were quite flexy and the beer flat so I’m guessing that’s why they did not burst. Been sitting on these for a while as the first 2 cans were not so good. I emailed and was told new beer would be sent and after that it’s been silence for well over a year. Won’t buy their beer anymore and wanted to just clear these out. Will see what these are like once they defrost.
