What beer are you drinking now? #3715

Wow - I had a totally different experience with that beer than you did, my review:

I couldn't drink this beer, cloyingly sweet, brown sugar way too pronounced. Really just a major malt bomb, I couldn't find anything that would have made me want to drink more of this. I made it about half way through the bottle and that was it.

If you like the style I'm sure it's a fine beer, just not my thing.

That's one beer I personally will never purchase or try again. Cheers!

 

14% ABV! That is right at the legal maximum for beer in my state (Georgia). Wow!

 

That's a GREAT Doppelbock! Shows up on shelves around me from time to time. An unfortunately spotty supply.

 

Nope. Can't bring those into the state - legally.
Bootlegging is still a thing in the Southeast US.

Good Day BAs! Thanks to @Shanex for kicking off today’s thread; having a bit of a beer sweet-tooth, I like his opener. Getting my morning coffee - KBS MMF:



Bottled 8/8/22. Poured at 57°. Chocolate fudge goodness. Definitely better fresh than the 2 yr old bottle I drank on Monday.

A breezy 61° now. Later today the rain comes through, followed by the lower edge of the cold front sweeping across the country. In a day or two we may have daytime temps that only reach the 40s. Cool for here, and I’ll enjoy a few days of SWFL winter.

It's not that unusual that I drink the same beer as @Shanex and this morning is no exception. I'm drinking Samichlaus Classic 2021 Edition. This is another beer that I’ve never tried before that I got for the holiday tasting and didn't get around to drinking

 

Don't usually get to hang with WBAYDN page one-ers but an unexpected day off due to a sick kid brings me to the VB early. Hamms for brunch. Will hopefully be back this evening. Cheers yall!

Black Matter barrel aged coffee stout 8.9% - Manhattan Project Beer co

 

Decided to forego morning errands to sit on the patio with the dogs and enjoy the cool damp morning…and drink another BBA impy stout - Bottle Logic’s “Darkstar November” (2022):



Poured at 53°. Sweet bourbon nose. Sweet brown sugar followed by rye and molasses flavors. Warmth in mouth from 12% abv. Another solid beer from Bottle Logic.

I may do a grocery run this afternoon to get some things for Christmas Day cooking; otherwise, my shopping is done and I plan to just take it easy this weekend. Cheers!

 

Moving snow. Lots of snow. Stone Delicious IPA for a 20:00 break. Thanx @Shanex for 3715. The gluten reduced version of this brew was my 1st ever rating & review submitted here on lovely BA. Waaaay better than the orange Gatorade I had a couple hrs ago Well, gotta make hay when the sun shines as the oulde saying goes...as long as you can get to the hay! ttys Cheers!
