What beer are you drinking now? #3715

That's awesome. I'd love to meet them sometime. Glen Sprouse has a solid history in the Atlanta brewing scene going back to Phoenix Brewing - mid '90's I believe. Their Seven Sisters Vienna Lager always has a home in my fridge. Divine Dubbel is one of the better Abbey style ales made around here. A very underappreciated brewery IMO.

 

Hey buddy, we just steamed those, so we'll reheat them and have hot butter, sometimes with tequila in it.....oh, and my wife will have white wine....

 

Yep. Only Burt Reynolds could bring that in!

 

It will never cross my lips again regardless of age. If you want a few good laughs read the reviews for that beer sorted by Low to High - pretty funny. I probably got diabetes from that beer!

Busy weekday I see with people either off for Christmas or shut in with the Arctic Vortex. Pulled another from the cellar as the shit is getting real by the second, with temps plunging to -7 F withing the next 12 hours give or take.

Phase Three Pressed Coconut (Vintage 2020)



Full review treatment in the Cellar Review thread. Bottom line is this beer is amazing fresh, and held up very well with minimal loss in coffee and coconut. I will buy with confidence from here on out.

 

Mike Hess ~ Grapefruit Solis IPA

 

A nice Altbier by Rosenstadt, enjoying how much info they share on the side of the can:


For y’all’s info: German Pilsner, Munich and dark Munich, and some cara malts paired with Perle, Tradition, and Hallertau Saphir leading to 40IBU.


Almost as much sharing as these hummingbirds are doing at the family’s feeder (something I told they don’t do too often). Guess the bracing wind-chilled air is freezing their will to engage in conflict.

 

This helles is world class in my books. The dopplebock is just something else tho. Nectar of the gods. I'm plotting on getting more on draft today.. let's hope it pans out.
