Yes,

Went in during the boom too. Mostly online but also a bit at the casino. Most proud of playing low enough for becoming a (really) marginal winner...played many versions, and my maximal winning level was the second lowest online level, you know, cents . But anyhow, great times! But no playing now...

Merry Christmas, virtual bar brethren! A little Santa’s Brass with some of my gifts. My son nailed it with the flask kit. My wife got me the vinyl. I will share my daughter’s gift in a later post, as it is beer related.

Cheers to @ovaltine I am joining all the Cool Kids. Still snow & ice on the ground, we are calling this a White Christmas. Prime Rib has been on the smoker for 2.5 hours now

Hitting a sweet English Barleywine this Christmas afternoon, and it's a good one.

Revolution Maple Jacket



Cross post with New Beer Sunday #931, the final one of 2022. To the point, I say this beer has a ginger ale level of sweetness (about the max I want to broach), with the three primary components of the barleywine base, maple syrup and bourbon barrels all playing nice. Sweeter than I typically prefer, but that is more my palate than guidance as most will enjoy this offering if given the chance.

Been emersed in trying to add a January trip to escape Winter, though it seems as though the fates are aligned against me. Houston, where are your sidewalks?!

Chicago Maple used in this beer and a Chicago Christmas for me, so two from the Chicago Transit Authority aka Chicago.
