Next up is Nine Year Munichwine from Cellarmaker in San Francisco. A bourbon barrel-aged Munichwine coming in at 13.2% ABV. Wow. Cheers all.

Black Stack Killer Bees (9.0%): An imperial NEIPA from Minnesota with Mosaic, Azacca, Idaho 7, HBC 630, Strata, NZ Wakatu, Loral, Amarillo for flavors of incredibly juicy orange, tropical pineapple, mango, and green honeydew melon. I'm usually critical of imperial IPAs, but this one has enough juice and hop flavor to balance the body and ABV. Pushes the ABV limits a bit, but admittedly this one drinks nicely and better than expected. Well done Black Stack.

It's really good. My only complaint is that the alcohol bite is quite evident. Almost a solvent like taste. It does fade as it warms though. Nice sweet toffee, slightly bitter citrus peel, molasses, bourbon, and brown sugar.

Happy New Year’s Eve Beer Advocates!! Drinking a Two Brothers Amplifier IPA tonight. I have a twelve pack to get through so it should be an interesting night. I will have a house full of people. Watching the college football playoff and I made a ton of food. Queso dip, meatballs and lil smokies in the BBQ sauce, Buffalo chicken dip, BBQ pulled pork in the instant pot, bacon cheese burger sliders. I cooked for 3 hours today. Cheers!!

New Year’s Eve moving right along. Slight edge to 2021 for me as it’s a bit more dry.

Well, gotta be honest - that Celebration sucked, didn't really age very well and all the likeable aspects of it are gone. It's also gone down the drain as well. Having this one instead.

I think my palate is f'd up, none of these beers are really doing it for me tonight.

[IMG] Having a big home made sub and Buffalo chicken dip and chips for dinner tonight. The kids got carbonated grape juice to ring in the Holliday. So thankful for my family and for the beer I’m receiving and for you fellas. Cheers.

Lakefront Eastside Dark Lager (5.8%): A Euro Dark Lager (as described on the site) or a German Dunkel (as described on BeerAdvocate) from Wisconsin, this one drinks with nice dark grain and roast flavors with a bit of vanilla. Nice, smooth, and balanced. The last WBAYDN post of 2022 for me. Happy New Year!
