Walking Dead and a nice cold brew , makes getting off work even better!!!
Finished off night float for several months. A little fire and Victory at Sea are just the ticket. Have a good week everyone!

Helping me read my book for my quiz today... it's basically my Ritalin.
Morning everyone! Unibroue Don De Dieu. This beer is poetic bliss. To even try to break it down into the tasting categories is to do it a disservice. Bravo! Bold, delicate and sweet like it must have been for Samuel Champlain landing after a long voyage at sea to discover the vast and perilous land of America. This beer is strong and beautiful.
I love the presentation. Nice work!
at my brother's eating some lunch on my day off, as a big fan of chai tea i'm really loving this beer. cheers everyone!
from deep in the bowels of the fridge, plucked an old Maredsous Triple, only a couple of years out of date.
A stout from the crafty division of Swedish macro brewery Spendrups. Smoked malt is evident on the taste and it's mostly an interplay between the smoke and the bitterness, the style is supposed to be an Irish dry stout, and the dry part is evident in the taste, there's no sweetness to pick up on, but this also most likely contributes to the rather thin body of the beer (it's 5% abv so the wort strenght is probably not too high to begin with, and they've obviously fermented much of the sugars). I like the smokiness and the strong bitterness, but it doesn't really strike me as a stout. Guinness Draught is similar in body, but lacks the smokiness of course, so stylewise I can see where it's coming from and I like it, though I was expecting a fuller mouthfeel.
Work week has started, so nothing but coffee and water for me until Friday at 3 in the morning when I get off for the weekend....
that stuff is great, you ever tried COOP Ale Works F5 IPA out of Oklahoma
how is this?
I don't often buy this one since it's unfavorably priced compared to some other American craft beers over here, but whenever I do shell out the money for it I'm always pleased with my purchase.
Founders Harvest Ale
Delicious, and one of the best priced imperial stouts...cheers!!!
Fellow BA SammyJaxxx just sent this to me out of the kindness of his heart. It's generosity like this that never ceases to amaze me. Raise a pint to SammyJaxxx, a true beeradvocate. I just threw them all in the fridge, need to decide what to drink as they get cold. While that Dirtwolf is tempting, the Surly Hell sounds like my type of brew.
Thanks again Sammy!
Some fresh Ballast Point Sculpin IPA and some pizza for breakfast.
I do declare!

How is this? I have a 2010 in my cellar I've been eyeing for a while now..
Insanely good, super smooth bourbon and caramel with no heat. The base beer shines through too with some nice creaminess. This is way too drinkable
Oh boy I think it might be time then..
Schneider Aventinus and it's a day for it here!
In the battle of the pale ales this one is the winner imo, it just has the perfect balance of citrusy hops, strong bitterness and semi-dry body. Just the way I like my pale ales.
3 floyds Lager with this lunch feast. And man, I wish you could taste these olives right now.
New Holland Dragon's Milk.
