    Good morning and happy weekend advocates!

    Got back late yesterday evening from Amsterdam where I had the chance and opportunity to meet up @Beer-Panda, loitering around the city. Visited the Van Gogh museum and generally enjoy the laid back, chill mentality of the Dutch people.

    One of the beer Beer-Panda gifted me was La Trappe Oak Aged.

    It left no head/foam, comes in a 375ml bottle at 11%.

    Makes for a great winter brew! Very much outstanding with its caramel notes and not a boozy mess. A well balanced beer.

    Bonjour! Amsterdam is a fun place but it's been a while for me. The Van Gogh museum is a true pleasure. That La Trappe drinks like a very nice glass of wine. It is a vinous beer in the best sense. I sold these Trappist ales for years and loved their smooth subtlety.

    Good morning,
    fresh and pleasant drink before lunch with one of my favorite Italian blanches:

    MC 77 (Serrapetrona, Marche, ITA) - FLEUR SOFRONIA - Blanche with hibiscus flowers (5%)

    I'll just say, in excellent shape as usual and definitely satisfying even for someone who isn't really into this style.
    But this is a variant that I really find very interesting and valid.
    Perhaps, the best blanche of an Italian brewery.

    Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting us off today - A-dam (at least 20 years ago) was a fascinating city - I enjoyed the museums and the food - I think most art museums in the world have one of Van Gogh's Sunflowers hanging somewhere although I think I like a Starry Night slightly better.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer is another from the BA Extreme Stout 2022 box:

    To my taste, seems very artificial and chemically, only the cacao seems real. Rating 3.57, rDev -17.2%

    We are considering a brewery visit, but with limited time, we are carefully planning the rest of the weekend. I've never been a huge fan o SoMe, but I've never visited it either, so it's on the short list. I've done the Portland breweries, but they're so awesome that I won't rule them out, either. :grinning:

    Like yesterday, and the day before, since it is the only option on tap besides Heineken. Plenty other bottles by the way. I'll have some of those later.
