    ...Mrs. BeerGoot and I have had a rough 24-hours...in a nutshell, Oscar (the Sun King) bit me and drew blood last night - an unprovoked bite in our eyes and not the first time he's shown aggression to me and others...and the fact that 95-98% of the time he seems to bond with me makes this all the more difficult...we basically decided to get rid of him, ideally a no-kill scenario if possible...without going into details, things have settled (somewhat), so we'll see where the three of us go...it tears us up to think our recent adoptee -- 3 1/2 months with us now and with so much promise -- has so suddenly changed, but there are certain things that may mitigate the current situation...right now, we're looking at time and remedial training (for him and us) to see how this plays out...today has actually been good with all three of us..

    ...man, family situations can be so trying at times...there's always hope even in the darkest times...

    Good luck with that - you have a lot more patience than I do. The dog would already be gone if it was me.

    In full disclosure - I don't like dogs and I don't trust them. We had a dog once that just hated me for no reason and he would snarl and bear his teeth at me all the time. We got rid of him pretty quickly. I wouldn't put up with a dog biting me for no apparent reason, to me that's just a sign of things to come. Good luck!

    He had to shut it down almost through last year, but we weren't sure he was gonna be able to do anything his Senior year ( worked out for football ). But he may have to have invasive surgery due to a joint impingement. Only time will tell. Just told him he needs to do it while he is still on my insurance.
