    Total amazeballs sour collab...

Collaboration of Definitive with Mortalis & Vitamin Sea

    Magical Realism

Rivaling the best I've had for my tastes. This is why I try sours.

"This specialty collaboration with our friends at Mortalis & Vitamin Sea is a 7.4% Sour Ale with Raspberry, Strawberry, Graham Crackers, and Marshmallows! Rare and beyond the ordinary, this beer tastes like raspberry graham galette, jam-packed marshmallow cereal, and fresh berries with whipped cream!"

    Cheers Heathens!!

    Indeed!

If you enjoyed it, then you should watch Parasite, the South Korean movie. Heck, watch the Belgian movie from the 90’s called Delicatessen, albeit that one is a bit more funny.

Earlier at High Nine I was drinking this nitro oatmeal coffee stout, really good. Had to stop quick and get their great pilsner in a can for my wife. Imgr wasn't working there for some reason.

TBH I didn’t find Parasite all that interesting. Yeah some family of plebs getting into a much wealthier one to stir up troubles didn’t appeal to me.

Delicatessen was also a recent watch, and I liked it better but wouldn’t consider it a classic despite some praising it. I am a bit hard to please…

Surly Elijah Craig 12yr BBA Darkness RIS 2023, 12% ABV. Pours dark black with a 1.5 finger light brown head that left great foamy lacing. Nose is bourbon, sweet malt, spice, and chocolate. Taste is malt, chocolate, vanilla, oak, spice, and bourbon, slightly bitter. Excellent mouthfeel, overall world-class. Let this one warm.

I remember when I first tried BBA Darkness in 2016 when it was 25oz bomber-only. I'm really glad they came out with these small doses, though the artwork was more detailed on the bombers (2017 pictured below)

Decided to make a quick pit stop on my way home from work today at my local, Back Shed Brewing, just a couple of blocks from my apartment. Enjoying their Dopplebock.

From the tap at the brewery this beer pours a very dark amber. Hardly any light shines through, except at the bottom of the glass. The head is slightly off white. No lacing on the glass.
The nose is faint. I just get a hint of caramel in it.
The flavor is malt based as expected. Lotsof toasted caramel. I also get some toffee, as well as a hint of cherry.
The body is very full. The body is also smooth feeling.
    This is quite delicious.

Strata Triangles. An IPA brewed by Triple Crossing. Oysters were supposed to on the menu tonight but that did not materialize.
