    1) BlackStack Purely Decorative (8.2% no canning date!): A NEIPA from Minnesota with El Dorado, Strata, Luminosa with flavors of ripe orange, juicy pineapple melon, and mango. Juicy.
    versus
    2) Equilibrium Cosmic Proportions (8.0% canned 3/2/23): A NEIPA from NY with Omega yeast, Nelson, Citra, HBC586 for flavors of ripe oranges, sweet pineapple, and sweet green apple and grape. Heavy, smooth, and sweet. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) EQ Cosmic Proportions:
Another NEIPA battle and didn’t expect that much from it. It started when I dropped the BlackStack can on the floor and chipped a small hole so right then and there the can was "opened" and the battle head begun. Hence, it poured a bit flat, my fault fault there. Surprisingly similar though. Purely Decorative is straight juice and quality haze all around. Cosmic Proportions is impressive with the Omega yeast. Very similar flavors, but this one is slightly more creamy and soft on the mouthfeel. Both of these are some of the best haze I've had in a while.

@vabeerguy Good Beer + Good Company = No Regrets!
Enjoying a poorly labeled Fonta Flora NEIPA along with a little Mad Season. A nicely made brew!
    Cheers!

Is it Friday yet? Hit one of those stretches where I've been working 12+ hour days. Taking a break on Taco Tuesday with a Monday Night Taco Tuesday. A neat "Mexican style lager". Still always amazes me how breweries can get a lemon-lime flavor & aroma from hop. This one has it in spades. Very well crafted beer. Sure beats Corona (apologies to any Corona fans in the VB ). Cheers folks!

Had to cash in a short nap after work - having a Flensburger Pils now. Going to go out shortly to grill some chix fajitas for dinner but it's pretty windy so i don't know how well that's going to go.

16 ounce can with no discernible date.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a hazy, light golden body with sticky lacing.

Nose of a bit of citrus, slight pine and even slighter tropical fruit.

Taste is more bitter than the nose would portend with citrus pith and pine resin coming to mind.
Finish is quite bitter but not off putting at all.

Feel is nice and full and very satisfying.

Overall, a fine IPA and I wouldn't turn down another.
    Go get it!!
    Cheers!!!

I totally agree - I love Second FIddle, the regular IPA - MEH. I don't buy it anymore after trying a 12 pack. THere's many better IPA's available. Second Fiddle is totally different than the IPA.

This might be my favorite KBS variant ever. It’s only contender is the OG Mackinac Fudge

My grill is out under the shed roof overhang - I don't move it around, too much of a hassle to do so.

We planned on tacos for tonight but then I went out to pick up a few Maine Beer Company IPAs. Long story short, ended up with not just beer but some oysters and mussels. I am still deciding what to have. Tacos or sea critters. Tacos or sea critters. Decisions. Decisions.

The tacos may have to wait their turn for later in the week. See you in awhile. One last chore to do.

It is - quite a good pilsner I must say and really tasty if you can find it fresh. This batch is best by November 2, 2023. And at only 4.8% abv it's pretty sessionable as well. Cheers!

    Greetings BAs!

Perfect cool, cloudy weather for a killer workout doing repeats up a local mountain.

11 days till 1st race of the season. Time flies when races are nigh!

This Hoponamia from Kettlehead is seriously quenching the thirst. Beyond delicious.

EDIT: This is close to my 60th beer from Kettlehead and it's darn near the top of the heap.

I'm not usually a bargain-hunter, but damn... all 3 for the same price as @eppCOS fancy new Hoka kicks. Never put my feet in any kind of North Face product, but for 68 bucks I don't even care if they suck haha. I'll know soon enough.
