    1) Toppling Goliath Fire, Skulls, & Money (7.8% canned 1/27/22): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Nelson for flavors of grapefruit and orange citrus flower, vinous white grape, gooseberry with some pine and berry to balance. Juicy, complex, and clean
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath Electric Dino Boogie (7.8% canned 2/27/22): A NEIPA from Iowa/Tx collab with Pinthouse Brewing with Simcoe, Citra, and Galaxy for flavors of juicy orange, cantaloupe and peach, tropical fruit with a touch of pine and dank herbal notes. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) TG Fire, Skulls, & Money:
Another Toppling Goliath Battle. Two favorites from the season. Electric Dino Boogie showcases the Simcoe and Galaxy nicely with peach and orange cantaloupe flavors. Didn't come out of the gate seeming as good as it is, but sometimes just the right amount of age lets the flavors meld and the IPA settle out a bit. That's what happened here and it is very good. But Fire, Skulls, & Money may be the best TG IPA I've had. I don't know how they made this, but it's like they took King Sue and added more modern hop flavors.

Greetings BA's! I'm seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. Almost Friday!!!!

Trying some IPA's I've never had. This is Monday Brewing Death Raptor 6.9% abv. For me, berry aroma and flavor in hops has been hard for me to pick out, it's more subtle and usually ober whelmed by any citrus and tropical fruit or piney aromas. This one helped me orient a bit more. It has Simcoe, El Dorado and Mosaic hops with a malt bill of pilsner, oats and wheat. The berry-like aroma & flavor stood out in the one. Also, the malt bill also was much more present with a more grainy note. I wonder how many other IPA fans would really like this. It's grabbed an 88 on BA but that's a low score for IPA. Anywho, the weather is oustanding the last couple of days - clear, 80°F and breezy. Lifts the spirits a bit. Cheers!

Lol! I just exited the scene for the afternoon. Brutal week and a half. The weather here has been outstanding her and it has bugged me to no end to sit inside in front of a computer to have it rain on the weekend. I had to jump on some beers right away. Cheers man!

How did you like the pre-prohibition lager? I've only had a couple of these but found them to be quite enjoyable.

Schell's Bock (6.1%): A German Bock from Minnesota with flavors of nuts, caramel, smooth German malts that give hints of dark banana bread.

May be the last dark beer of the season for me. Seemed fitting for this cold & cloudy Spring day. This is an excellent German beer, and may be the best bock I’ve had, although no bock expert. Was surprised to Schells ranked #29 on US craft brewery production. Guess they know how to do beer. This one has perfect flavors of nuts, caramel, and dark banana bread. Not quite anything like it.

I think you'd enjoy it. I dig it. Herbal hops and corn. Super nuanced but lemon herbal and slightly bitter. It doesn't taste like 4%. I can't get enough of em. Balanced and enjoyable.
