Good morning all and have a great Monday and new week.

Already has started on the right track here, one hour spent at the gym, been working out for nearly four months and not much weight loss yet but feeling generally much better.

Better than one Leffe triple is two:

Photo I took several days ago in the Somme region of France. This bay usually is full of water when the tide is up.

Woke up early, did some time in the continuous motion leg machine, and finished drinking the same beer from last night because I dozed off after a few sips (recycled pic). Working from home today since Jr’s confirmation is tonight and I’m making an early dinner for us, his grandparents, and my sister in law and her family. This was a pretty good beer, considering I don’t normally like the smoked style.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting today's thread! Currently 37F/3C and under a freeze watch until 0900 EST. Otherwise, looks like a sunny and cool day coming.

Pours a dark brown color. Looks a bit like cola. When held up to the light I get a dark amber color from the light shining through the beer. The head is thicker at 2 fingers. The color is tan colored, with smaller bubbles. The head retention is decent and there's nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is malty. I get a nutty biscuit aroma from this beer. I also get a very faint smoke aroma.
Taste - Flavor is very nutty and roasted. Tons of malts in this beer. Faint smoke in the flavor.
Smooth and great body for the lower ABV.
Damn, I really like this one.

Hello folks. Great to be here at the crack of noon CST. Thanks @Shanex for today's thread. Got up all chipper today and decided I need to be outdoors regardless of the cool temps. Plenty of domestic chores to do this week. Fuel for my machines and my man machine. Enjoying the hec outa one of my top 5 AALs Miller High Life. The champagne of beers. Get bent. Don't change a thing except the radio station. Cheers!

Loving seeing Amalgamator pop up more often on WBAYDN. Loved seeing @beergoot 's post yesterday about bringing Heady Topper to Wisconsin next week. If you refrigerate IPAs, many are still strong months down the line. The few Amalgamator's I have left from August 24 are still going strong (I bought a bunch and then my brother flew in with more for me a few days later - my first beers ever flown in for me  ).

Second and final March Beer Madness Tournament remaining Purple Can Beer. It's a solid beer, just a malty beer not in my preferred wheelhouse.

Task at hand is clean out the 6' fire pit. Lop more branches, make a big-ass fire. Perfect day for that and another bottle of Miller High Life. One dig deserves another. Cheers!

Bottom of 16 ounce can reads:
    "Canned on 03/29/23
    Mega Motueka"

Moderate pour yields a 1.5 inch white head over a clearly bright body with sticky lacing.

Nose is cracker/biscuit with slight citrus and even slighter tropical fruit.

Taste mirrors nose pretty closely with lime flavor at the forefront and a hint of spice on the finish.

Nice fairly full mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

Overall, another great pils from the hazybois on the waterfront in Burlington!

    Cheers!!

    I bought this this morning.
Old Rasputin XVI- RIS - North Coast Brewing - 11.3% ABV

I am glad I bought it, and apparently it's from 2011, but it's WAY past its prime.

I was very surprised that there was some head on this beer, though minimal. It didn't last long, and there was no lacing on the glass.

I get very faint chocolate, and dark fruit. The main flavor is boozy from the barrels used to age it in the first place.

Decent body, and a bit of an alcohol burn.

I gave it a 3 on UT, because it's fallen off so much. If you still have this vintage, I'd drink it now. Don't wait anymore on it.
