    I’m stoked for you @basaywhat . Usually opening a WBAYDRN? is reserved for Europeans, people on the East Coast, or wild as hell others. And I’m here to salute you.

    As far as myself goes, I’m having a Zombie Dust - and I couldn’t be more stoked. It’s simply just nice to have a treat every now and then from out of your local distro. If I was able to get this beer everyday, who knows how I’d feel about it. But right now, here I am in Southern California, drinking an amazing beer that was brewed in Munster, Indiana - and I’m all for it. Cheers to what makes you happy, BA’s:

    Just a couple tonight: Sam Adams Boston Lager and a 2020 Spiteful Brewing Mrs O'Leaey's Chocolate Milk Stout. This is one very tasty brew. Chocolate, malt goodness, and sweet cream. Three years hasn't taken anything away from this one. Cheers y'all.

    We had a (forecasted) frost last night but I got everybody inside or covered, so Oll Korrect. Looks like another cool but otherwise "nice" day today - typical day on the tundra of NW PA, sans rain.

    Excellent WCIPA - wish I had ready access to these! Grapefruit/mandarin oranges/conifers/crisp! Rating 4.55, rDev +5.6% Thanks Ryan - absolutely delicious!

    PS - do yinz have a problem with warthogs in the PNW?

    Day three of Cycle Week (I missed Tuesday, but should be able to make it up next week). I do not know if I have Friday. Have to check the cellar. This one is a foot or so away from me, and it is a strong smelling beer.

    Love seeing Spiteful get love here, their porters and stouts are excellent including their milk stout. Their beers also hold up for me very well. Definitely recommend stopping in for those also going to Half Acre next door.

    Going to charge the phone, water the grass and return with a beer with lunch.

    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

    Clear pour that looks deep, dark brown in the glass, opaque; nice head, khaki colored. Richly sweet aroma; chocolate with a whiskey undercurrent. Robust sweet and boozy flavors; milk chocolate; mint and anise; bourbon. Heavy body; silky smoothness; thick and chewy; big boozy heat offsetting the thick residual sugar feel.

    This beer has aged well over the past 18 months or so. The flavors and mouthfeel are incredible. Per the can label, oats were used. That certainly helps explain the great smoothness of the beer. The barrel aging is quite noticeable yet plays nicely with the inherent richness of the beer. Robust and complex, nicely balanced yet mind-blowing.
