Finally raining here. Long overdue and much needed.

Opinions vary on pre-race drinking. Most days of training I live in a calorie deficit and only do one and done.

I'm thinking that tomorrow being a 2k+ calorie affair, I'd better stock up my glycogen now!!

This Helles from Schilling is amazing, as if it were meant just for me!



Pasta soon with my homemade meatballs which are reheating in the sous vide. Happy days!

Good Saturday afternoon, patrons of the Virtual Bar. It's been a lazy day as I shake off the effects of oral surgery yesterday. I was instructed to avoid drinking anything hot - which is not a problem for this BA. I'm currently drinking Dapper Dinosaurs, a New England IPA from Funguys Brewing in Raleigh, NC. Mosaic, Cashmere, and Strata. I'll be happy when the Strata craze ends. Cool can art. Cheers!

 

Summit Twin Pils (5.1%): A Kellbeier from Minnesota that is a newer version of the Keller Pils with flavors of lemonflower, grains, bread malts. Bitter and complex. Great Kellerbier/German Pils. I've posted a lot on this one. It's excellent.

 

I am now enjoying a home brewed pilsner brewed by one of the aerospace engineers I work with. It a very nice drinking beer!

 

Glad you are enjoying. It is clean, crisp and not bogged down by malt that nearly all MW WCIPAs feature.
