Grocery shopping done. Walk complete. Bird droppings cleaned off deck furniture. Now it's time for a relaxing beverage. Rhinegeist Juicy Truth IPA.

 

What a breakfast! Sounds amazing to me.

Yards - Jeffersons Golden Ale



Bottled on 1.9.23

Poured at fridge temp into a willi becher glass

Pours a cloudy dark gold, almost more brassy. Tall tan head that agitates back up, but leaves a loose lacing. 3.75

Aroma is fairly strong and earthy honey, also some malty sweetness. 4

Taste I get more honey, some rye and herbal hops. 3.75

Body is mild with some alcohol warmth, and lingering hop oil. 3.75

Overall a nice stronger ale that was unique and enjoyable. 3.75

Pulled out a special beer today, provided by way of Colorado by the generosity and efforts of @beergoot . First crack at this long time want brewery.

The Alchemist Focal Banger



Canned 9/26/22, this has held up quite excellent with proper care from the OG owner and yours truly. Full review in the Cellar Review Thread. Notes for us here, this is quite excellent, looking at a few ounces left in the glass and a finishing 2-3 oz of beer and perhaps substantial sediment in the can and it was hard to type everything there and here without gulping down the rest. Well worth the trip, journey or whatever steps needed to procure.

Enjoyed after a few hours watering and tending the the lawn and plants which at this stage are also at peak performance. Listened to last week's House Party and Grateful Dead hour outside, reliving a few here below. See you back tomorrow with another Banger!

Roosters - Blood Orange IPA



Canning date unintelligible

Poured at fridge temp into a willi glass

Pours a hazy orange with a half finger head that fades fairly quick, though left a slight ring. 3.75

Blood orange and citrus is present, fresh and juicy on the nose, and is sweet, not tart as well. 4

Malty and earthy hops dominate the first sip, though there was some juiciness as well. Blood orange is still present, though is more rind and pith than citrus flesh. 3.5

Body is light, sessionable as advertised and has a lingering citrus rind on the back of the tongue. 3.5

Overall a beer that smells delightful, but falls a bit flat on taste, but nice and light. I think I'd use it as a palate cleanser. 3.5

 

Damned birds. I park my car in an open lot for work (I am semi-retired now) and sure enough within the first 72 hours of getting the car washed I see bird crap all over it. Never fails!

 

Yep. And in comparison, whenever I so much as touch my camping gear, esp the tent, the skys get crappy and it rains. Cheers!
