Good day advocates and hope you have a great Sunday.

Mother’s Day is today in France, several weeks after the one in America. You know what that means? Going to lunch with mine in a bit…

I just saw that yesterdays WBAYDN got locked so it appears @Todd and BA generally are adjusting to European time.

    Drinking Chimay Tripel:

Beer of the last night (which I forgot to post). Shared this with my brother and my brother in law.

Another nice but not spectacular iteration of D.O.R.I.S. - port is my wine of choice if I were to become a wino. Rating 4.06, rDev -1.2%

Yesterday started with good health intentions followed by vices. Today I’m starting with the reverse, to include a morning cigar in a few. The move to anything health conscious is highly suspect.

Checking out my other recent vinyl purchase, my second Beatles LP. The plastic cover indicates it was pressed in Germany, so beer seemed a good pairing (though maybe not the one I chose, Great Notion's Blueberry Muffin).

    Hey folks!

Slightly conscious, and only a "little destroyed" (LOL) this morning after yesterday's all day affair out at Mueller State Park - the Great Divide 100k - all at 9100-9800 ft in elevation (about 3000m). First completion of the distance and a buckle earned.

And it was tough; I won't lie. But I used the 17 hour outing to work on nutrition, hydration, gear choices, foot care, etc, and had a great time out there. Was there suffering? Yes. Did it rain a bit? Also yes. Did we get lucky with the weather? Also also yes. A few pics from the day. The last one, at night, is a portrait in pain, questioning, and gratefulness.

10,000 feet of elevation gain and loss, all day long, maybe 10 miles' worth of actually joggable terrain yesterday. I think, personally, this was tougher than the first 100k of Leadville 100miler. You just never get a break - the ups and downs are relentless.

Right now, I have to focus on recovery. Only had 4 hours of sleep last night - body is programmed to get up early - so multiple naps will be the order of the day.

A little Athletic Free Wave "IPA" to get things started today. If I can muster the energy, and I feel like I can indulge later, I'll try to show up with the real McCoy later. I have appreciated the name drops, posts, and mentions in the feed lately. This one hurt, and continues to do so, probably going to take 5-6 days off to ensure there are no long-term quirks/****les. I'll do a lot of walking in Chicago later this week. Can't wait!

    Cheers!

Happy Sunday BA's! Well the distributor swap completed without a hitch, timing set and it's running great! This old one lasted 32 years and 256,000 miles, made in America! Jai Alai to celebrate.

Hello Virtual Bar Flies! Thanks @EdmundExley for 3879. Yet another scorcher here today but I practice mind over matter in little situations like mine and BOOM! the 7 yards of black dirt is in place. 11 buggies this morn. Watering trees now and it's time for a beer dammit. Summit Twins Pils. Cheers!!

Fantastic work buddy! 10,000 feet in a 100k is no joke. Big congratulations! Rest, recover, and drink beer!

A nice, ice cold MGD. Burned myself out on craft beer (and I get sick on some of them, not sure why - perhaps it's tantamount to a child eating chips and pizza, claiming veggies and whole foods make them sick ). Anyway, have a great day!
