    Still recovering from yesterdays gravel ride so off to an early start.

    Did a 4h ride in the Borinage region (Walloon Region). Used to be a wealthy region because of the mines. Now its kinda desolate but beautifull nature and lots of forestroads and gravel tracks. Cheers!

    Hola again from Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife with a local IPA from this fine island off the shores of Africa and yet belonging to Spain, along with its neighboring islands Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuertaventura. Sunny and mild to hot. Pleasant.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

    Dunno if this is a new beer or a re-named release of an old brewski - either way it's decent - the marshmallow comes through and adds a sweetness that counterbalances any roasted malt bitterness and heightens the flavor. Rating 4.06, rDev 0% (First Rating.)

    Back in the old days, my microbial physiology prof referred to me as a splitter while he was a lumper - I grouped Staphylococcus into (currently) 43 species while he grouped them into two. Probably the same with beer.

    I understood Westvleteren is now in shops in Belgium. Here in NL we have it too in since this month.

    @Ozzylizard and all, yes if you ask then here are some other shots of Puerto de la Cruz where we are staying:

    El Pic del Teide in the background here, it’s a major and quite high volcano culminating at 3700m. It’s a dormant one of course for hundred of years. I don’t want those vacay to turn into some Dante’s peak (the movie) mess.

    Hope you're having a relaxing Saturday. Here in Minnesota, there is a chance of rain (50%), so most likely we won't get any (we had 80% chance a couple weeks ago and got a downpour of sun and heat).

    Anyway, enjoy this precious and amazing thing we call life.
