    Good morning everyone, Advocates!
Start episode no. 4000 of this thread is a privilege, so I played it safe and chose a beer worthy of the event:

Verdant Brewing Co. (Penryn, ING) - PUTTY - Double India Pale Ale (8%)

44 cl can which costs quite a bit here (€9.50 at the pub fridge) and is not easy to find.
Double Ipa with malts: Golden Promise, Wheat, Oats, Flaked Wheat, Dextrosecon and hops: Azacca, Galaxy and Mosaic.

On the bottom of the can: "Canned on 12/05/2023 - Best before: 12/11/2023".
Freshly opened, clear citrus notes and background notes of tropical and ripe fruit.
The density of the beer is noticeable as soon as it is poured into the glass, in fact it's a completely opaque pastel orange color ("hazy"/"cloudy"): the color of apricot pulp. The foam is adequate and of decent consistency.
In the mouth, an intense and fragrant taste that invades the entire palate and remains even after a bitterness that could be more pungent, although discreetly perceptible on the tongue.
Explosive flavor: yellow pulp fruit (yellow peaches, melon, yellow plums), mango, then the bitterness of citrus fruits (especially pink grapefruit, but also orange peel). All supported by a dense and full body, but which leaves no traces in terms of taste (perhaps to a minimal extent there is a slightly honeyed note), with truly dominant hops.
It's impossible not to notice that "silky" effect, typical of modern New England IPAs which want to highlight the explosive flavor of the hops at the expense of a more bitter and decisive contribution.
Alcohol that is well hidden, but you can feel it after two/three sips in a row of that dense liquid.
Full, tasty beer, above all fruity but with a pleasant bitter aftertaste: modern in style, but not banal.
Worthy of drinking to toast the next 4000 daily episodes of the thread!

    Strictly personal considerations:
Overall I liked it because it is an explosion of fruit on a dense body, like a "double ipa", the bitterness is noticeable, even if it is limited... good drink, not worth €9.50, but good modern drink (more fruity and less bitter).

Thank you for kicking off the momentous 4000th iteration of What Beer Are You Drinking Now? @Jack_14 !

Woke up after a couple hours and hoping this one puts me out until the late morning or early afternoon. Brought out the OG craft beer for me that started this journey in late 2014 that landed me here a few months later.

Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout (2022 GI Blend)

Hardest part is to weight a good 15 minutes out of the refrigerator before diving in for peak condition. Will go with Tom Petty for the music feature this Tuesday.

Greetings @Jack_14 and @ChicagoJ and thanks for being a nice duo starting us off.

Finally I have found a proper Oktoberfest. Main reason for not finding it so far was hanging out in the same groceries and going out of my way helped out.

    Hofbräu Oktoberfest it is:

This is one of the beers that have been on my "want" list for a very long time, and essentially ever since I became aware of Verdant. I have had many of their other offerings but never this one. I'm glad to see that it's indeed good but I'm not surprised at the price, especially when exported.

Cheers for sharing this with us. Good luck to your Virtue this year, despite the tumultuous pre-season!

    Excellent selections (beer and song)!!

Still working my way through the thread yesterday (on page 3),. but want to extend my condolences to @LesDewitt4beer for the loss of his Mother In Law Lindy Addy. My condolences to you, your wife, and her entire circle of family and friends.

Also sending condolences to the loss of your Southwest Tourguide @Shanex . I've been to Vegas 63 times, initially as a degenerate gambler and to party with friends. My trips these days now revolve around visiting family, and as a jump off point to all the places you enjoyed and more throughout the years. Death Valley is my favorite NP in the system and the one I've visited most. There is also so much to Vegas beyond gambling, including the great beer scene that has grown leaps and bounds over the past decade. Hope you have a chance to revisit the American SW, for prior favorites and new experiences and places to enjoy.

Good day BAs! Thanks to @Jack_14 for starting today's thread and @Shanex and @ChicagoJ for their excellent beery contributions. 'Fraid I'm going to add a weak sister, sexist bastard that I am.

Surprisingly weak entry from a fairy strong brewer. The mango is weak and the ethanol is well hidden - could be surprising when you try to stand up after a four-pack. Rating 3.37, rDev -19.2%

Condolences to @Shanex and @LesDewitt4beer for your loss.

Taking some time off to finish some house work today. Enjoying an layered and smooth Anchor Porter while it lasts. It's still as good as I remember.

Today's Tuesday walk and then $2 pints. I'm a little fired up to get the walk complete and then on to Tap 22, their beer menu today has Zombie Dust on it. I've never had it on tap, fingers crossed that there'll be some left when I arrive. You'll found out later this afternoon. Cheers!

A beautiful Tuesday! Saw the Eye doctor this morning, and everything is OK except I need stronger glasses. I didn't think I could get more nearsighted with age, but I have.
Enjoying a Narwhal as I try to come up with a dinner menu.

4000! :beers: Severely fun! :beers: Thanks @Jack_14 for 4K this day. I finally put some pieces of myself back together and am ready to rate & review a beer. Had to cut today's run short as I started too late and it got hot & humid earlier than anticipated. I guess 3 miles is better than zero miles and I'm thirsty as a mofo from it. A big cool down is on the way. Let's try this little kitty: 450 North Reefer Nuggets TDH TIPA 8% ABV
    Salute!!
