What beer are you drinking now? #4002

Odell Oktoberfest with dinner in Estes Park, then home late with last two glasses of Blue Spruce Maibock from a growler, followed by another ROS: Jolly Pumpkin Noel de Calabaza. Don't see a date on this 750 (batch 333/334), I know I've had it a long while. Unbelievable it was/is still alive as it foamed over when I cracked it open. Still has that Bret funk and still quite drinkable.

The annual EurHop Festival here in Rome is getting closer and closer and in my free time I have already started working on the endless list of beers that will alternate over the weekend.
In the meantime, I opened a can of a beer I've already drunk several times and which is a decent compromise between quality and cost.

Balabiòtt (Domodossola, Piemonte, ITA) - GANÀSSA - West Coast IPA (5,5%)

Two brief considerations:
Fragrant, very little foam and light haze.
Light body, which due to the absence of carbonation verges on a "watery" sensation as the beer slides down quickly and flatly.
Very tasty: citrus and tropical fruit.
Herbaceous night in a dry finish but a little too little bitter (for my taste).
Balanced but, I repeat, too flat and smooth: non-existent carbonation.

Busy morning. A visit to my primary doctor for a check-up, then on to Physical Therapy for continued work on my back. Happily, all is well.
Home now, hanging out with my wife and drinking this nice New Mexico beer.

 

Got lunch in the oven, this is my appetizer courtesy of Vann @Ocalafox ! Sadly, no literal sunshine here today, or at least at this stage, but will try to get out later to enjoy the likely last shorts day before the cold arrives, likely for good.

Hello Advocates! Thanks @Shanex for 4002. I slept for 11 hrs last night. Guess I was tired. Windy, brisk, low 60s with moving clouds and random sunny moments here today. No run. My music plans x'd for tonight so it looks like it's beer:30 now. When my buddy Citizen Bob was over last we both were wowed by this babe: Insight Avant Dry-Hopped Pilsner. All kinds of good. Cheers!
