    Found a couple extra bonus beers while cleaning out the garage fridge. This one brewed in Corrales, NM leads me to believe it was gifted to me by @beergoot . Bock Holliday, an excellent Maibock from Ex Nova Brewing Company. This is a malty, rich & delicious lager, hitting the perfect spot at the moment. Thanks, Dave!

    At Mieza Blendery - a place that brews at Dynasty (Loudoun) and then blends the brew with other ingredients (mainly fruit) and ferments and barrel ages sours in Alexandria. This tasting room opened earlier this year if I did the math right using the blender’s information.

    I’m having Ceramic Gnomes, described as using their “blond blend” with sweet and sour cherries, star anise, and aged in rye barrels.

    Took me some sips to get the star anise, and I think the tart fruit is throwing off any rye whiskey character, but it’s still quite tasty. The GF’s blueberry sour is slightly simple to me, but I only took a couple small sips.

    I had no idea that Ex Novo had a production facility in NM. I thought that they were solely based in OR. I just grabbed some of their cans here in Portland but didn't pay attention to see where they were made. I assume locally.

    Guggman Haus Great Day IPA (Citra, Galaxy, Idaho 7). Big passionfruit, grapefruit, and orange rind on this one with some background notes of floral, apricot, and pine. These guys know IPA's.

    Beer time, while working on some recipes for my daughter's upcoming wedding - I am making breakfast for around 20 folks on the day of (next Saturday).....making feta phyllo spinach mushroom tart as a trial....

    Waiting on the big jets game here ba. Haunted house, hoppy dark ale, allagash. Single can re-visit. Decent enough drinking but the star seems to be the malt with good notes of chocolate and coffee.

    They're in Indianapolis. My girlfriend has family down there so I always make it a point to grab some cans when we go. I think it would be worth the effort to try them out. Both their hazy and clear IPA's are on point. Cheers my man!

    Guggman Haus Among the Trees DIPA (Mosaic, Simcoe, Indiana grown Chinook). Yellow grapefruit, lime, some red currant, berry, herbaceous dankness, diesel, citrus peel, bright floral, resin. Nicely done.

    The taste doesn't quite match up with the fantastic looks and aroma, but is still quite enjoyable and makes for a fine thirst quencher.

    ...had a decent day at this month's Civilian Marksmanship Program service rifle shoot...had a very bad standing off-hand round, but did nicely for the 20-round prone slow-fire (using a reduced target size to simulate shooting at 600 yards vice the 200 yards we shoot at for all rounds)...any way, good to be home and relaxing and watching some football with some beer...
