Between the overnight at the Field Museum last night and the fall chores today, I think I’ve done about 25,000 steps in the last 24 hours. MRI on the right knee this coming Friday oughta be fun. Time to grill some ribs and drink some beer.

 

Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest (6.0%): A Festbier from California with flavors of floral and piney hops, earthy German malts. Hoppy, malty and smooth.

My last visit on this one. A good Festbier I'd say. More traditional than previous years. Still has a hoppy, distinct Sierra Nevada pine-soap flavor, but tones it down from previous years so you can actually taste the festbier flavors. I'd give it an improvement over previous years, but doesn't have the refinement or authentic Munic flavors of the German ones. It's pretty good, but to be fair I'm drinking it now, because I didn't think it was worth holding onto.

I really wish I enjoyed beers with coffee in them, if only for Tonewood Revolution and that one. Maybe I'll take a gamble on a single of it since it is new from them.

Couldn't believe the news that this one went into cans and will get distro, I rarely gamble on new beers but this one I'm going two four packs as soon as it comes to South Jersey.

Had a great day today - spent most of the afternoon at Seven Saws brewery with @SABERG, his wife, my daughter and another friend from work. They have some excellent beers. It was great meeting up, I really enjoyed it. Now, having a Second Fiddle ..

 

Frankly, I'm impressed that you can hold all that with one hand...

 

Finally at the point of the day where it's time for a beer! Breakfast with a friend this morning, went for a run, flag football games for the boys, youth activities for the two older kids, eldest working and a dinner for some of the locals in the community later...I'm settling in with this beauty: Lawson's Sip of Sunshine. Whew and Cheers!

Right on, well deserved! A lot of us have been thru the "younger kids" years and lived to drink about it on the other side. You're a good man, kids need a strong parental (masculine) influence these days....off my soapbx but stand by every word.......Cheers & chill!!!!

I heard of it, but had to look it up, you know how us northern Indiana people are- there's a line just north of Indy beyond which nothing exists, lol! I was near there once, a long time ago. How long? My son was a fetus and he now has a 7 year old and a 4 year old...

 

Looks good. I follow Oklahoma and live not far from Notre Dame. Underperform is a way of life here.
