...Chicago beers make me think of Eric and Jason (aka @eppCOS and @ChicagoJ), both whom I've bent elbows with at bars and breweries in Colorado Springs and Sheboygan but never in Chicago...this strong ale screams 'Fortress of Solitude' mind-bender...

Half Acre Brewing Co. -- Orin
    Bourbon barrel aged strong ale
ABV: 13.4%; pouring temperature: 54.3 ℉; canning info: 092623A ITS ORIN BABY

I think it is time...I'm returning to Return to Forever, maybe I can get through all this, this afternoon :sunglasses:

Urban Chestnut Zwickel in the glass. Light as a Feather spinning (their first album released, but recorded second).

Not Celebration, but a good, solid IPA by Sigtuna.

    1) Phase Three DDH Synchrophaser (7.8% canned 10/11/23):
A NEIPA from Chicago with Vic Secret and Strata for flavors of grapefruit and lemon zest, dry grape and mango skins. Clean and dry.
    versus
    2) Phase Three Tonal Range (8.0% canned 10/17/23): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic, Citra, and Sabro for flavors of grapefruit citrus, pineapple zest, some floral and pine notes with a bite. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Phase Three Tonal Range:
Fresh Phase Three NEIPA Battle. First up is Synchrophaser. Great combo of Vic Secret and Strata. Nice and unique combiation with lots of grapefruit. This one is starting to tame out a bit and some tropical flavors and sweetness evolving. Pretty good, but starting to lose the Vic Secret and Strata bite.
Next is Tonal Range. Confusing because they're making different IPAs with this same name. Classic Citra and Mosaic with the addition of Sabro. Has orange citrus and flower flavors, sort of reminiscent of Toppling Goliath. I don't know why the different can art for this, but I prefer the can format that Synchrophaser uses. Clean and to the point.
Can art and name winner: Syncrhophaser. Tonal Range did wrong with the naming and can art, but we're about the beer here and it's a top-shelf NEIPA.

It’s been a long time since I had a fairly fresh Gueuze Girardin, and what a beer it is. Probably my favorite Gueuze of all, it’s so vibrant, fresh and downright delicious, that I could drink this every day.

That is definitely a favorite of mine. There were a few small local shops that carried that for a few years around me. All gone now, I'm sure I bought them all out of it over the years ha.
