Another long day of yard work, finished off a big old project.

Been burning all the scrap wood, about a half cord, since 11am EST.

608 Brewing Philsner (5.5%): An Italian Pilsner from Wisconsin with Sabro for flavors of orange citrus, bread, wheat, and yeast. Heavy, smooth, yet bitter.

Keeping on the Sabro trend with a rich and heavier pilsner. Almost thought it was a Czech Pils with the rich bread malts at first. Does have a distinct hop presence of orange citrus. Getting a lot of wheat in this one. Maybe it's just the unrefined or unfiltered malts. Not much of an appreciable Sabro presence. It is very bitter which is redeeming. Could use more refinement or filtration. Sort of like a hoppy kellerbier. It seems in the Pilsner world, anything goes these days. Not traditional, but enjoyable.

 

Beats Studio headphones here.,. the electric drivers push the sounds deep into the skull.,. Cheers.

 

I use Sennheiser HD 600 headphones with Dekoni Fenestrated Sheepskin earpads for recording/mastering/mixing.

My needs are a bit different, I need something as accurate and uncolored as possible and these deliver. I usually mix on these and then finish the mix using my studio monitors.

Dark beer brewed and bottled in an old brickworks with artisanal know-how.
Rich flavors! It’s brewed with smoked malt, has aromas of peat and coffee, just a tad of ash tray.,. really nice.

Stopped into my neighborhood bottle shop after picking up dinner last night at the Thai place next door. Still getting used to being able to pick up Pliny again after RR not distributing here for several years. And even then, it was hard to come by, sometimes you’d have to ask the right person to go back in the back to grab a couple bottles. But now, every time I’ve walked in to this shop they’ve had plenty in the cooler. Cheers!
