Thanks for all the well wishes Sunday for my 14th BAnniversary! Much appreciated.....today is a more subdued day of remembrance....my elder brother took his own life 18 years ago today....always a tough one!

Found a few specials in a local supermarket today, a.o. some large bottles of St. Feuillien in Grand Cru and an Accacia infused variation. Will keep them for another day.
Will keep it calm today with a one of my safe and steady favorites.

 

Always hard to hit "like" on these posts. The like is of course for your beer/pic, condolences to you and your family.

Whipped up a pastrami and swiss sammy for lunch. Truth be told it's not great. The roll has some sweetness that's disrupting the mustard and horseradish flavors. Next time it's rye all the way. Definitive Brewing Avenue of Thought is going well.

This epic 2.5lb beast of a sammy is aptly named The Crazy...

Prosciutto, Sweet & Hot Cappacola, Genoa salami, Imported cooked Ham, Roast Beef, Turkey, Mortadella , Grande Fresh Mozzarella & Thumann Sharp Provolone. With Tomatoes, Pickles, Onions, Hots, Mayonnaise, O & V, and S & P.

Old stock of some Ayinger Maibock on a dreary, rainy November day back in Cincinnati.

 

Dark Horse Scotty Karate Scotch Ale. 9.75%, 26 IBU
Although cherry smoked malt does not belong in this style, it adds a nice complexity to the beer without taking it to the rauchbier territory.
All in all, a pretty good brew.
