Speaking of knee surgery, my brother-in-law had knee replacement surgery for both knees yesterday. Surgery went well. Getting him to do physical therapy is going to be a challenge.

 

Glad it seems the two knees discussed this early morning are on the mend. Always felt fortunate not to have knee issues during my decades of football. Had friends with knee braces and ACLs / MCLs.

Hoping to catch a few hours sleep after this easy drinker.

Time to start getting my dining room ready for the holiday...and dust off some of my many beer glasses! Haha! My new gf thinks some of my relatives will be "off put" by seeing some dust on the hundreds of glasses on display in my dining area.....ah, these neophytes!

Push him the best you can to go through rehab. My walking partner has had both knees replaced, said rehab sucks, but glad he did it. He had his 1st knee done around 5 years ago. That summer we were at the John Deere Classic, and sitting next to us was a guy who noticed his knee and asked him if he had knee surgery. Long story short, the guy next to us didn't do his rehab, and no longer had full range of motion in his knee. He was sorry he didn't go through with the rehab.

 

A cool sunny day, so I took the dogs for a good hike. Back home I'm drinking my morning coffee and contemplating the day. The joys of retirement!

 

Thanks for the information. I will definitely push my brother-in-law to do rehab. He had his rotator cuff repaired several years ago and went to the first session of rehab but never went back. Said it was a waste of time. I injured my right shoulder twice (second time was a shoulder separation) and rehab definitely helped me.

Here is hoping he has a different attitude now that the whole idea of being able to walk could be an issue.
