I just finished my first ever Dragon's Milk which was also my first ever BBA stout. This is a delightfully rich, fully-flavored beer which delivers on the coffee, chocolate and bourbon as promised. Those flavors were nicely balanced.

I am a slim guy that only drinks one beer a week, so I have never developed any alcohol tolerance. I tend to drink my beers slowly because I like to experience them at a wide range of temperatures, and I don't like feeling tipsy.

However, this beer was so yummy that I finished it about a half hour sooner than normal. At 11% ABV I really felt it. While bending over to lift the toilet seat I nearly fell in.

This beer is so good it's dangerous.

Good day DBW. You can never go wrong with Dragon Milk or variants. Incredible beers.

    Westmalle Tripel for me.

This was me a few years ago. Skinny guy, couldn't even drink an Erdinger without having to take the rest of the day off.

And look at me know, downing all them BBA stouts like they're water. Well, not quite but booze tolerance is definitely something that can be worked on.

I am always amazed when a big guy can get fairly wasted on just two beers while some skinny freak (like me) can drink a six pack and it’s just another day in paradise. Then there a few folks like my brother-in-law who can drink way more than any mere mortal I have ever seen. Been doing it almost daily for 40+ years and has no health problems other than a recent knee replacement!.

Got a guy coming today to replace the dryer. And even better, expecting a shipment (16 pints) of Tired Hands IPAs by the end of the day.

All valid and true points, from you or the two other posters but I believe that’s just the lottery of life and sometimes very unfair. Some dumbass like me drink almost daily, even reasonably so when some other good folks die of serious illness whereas they never got close to a smoke or hard liquor in their lives.

Cheers, my recommendation is to be reasonable.

I'm a big guy whose alcohol tolerance has declined dramatically. I've cut back on my consumption over the last few years due to some health issues. Unless I'm having a flight it's one and done for me, and even then I have to be careful not to include more than two "big" beers in the flight. Eight ounces of an imperial anything these days and I'm pretty much done.

Good day BAs! Thanks @DogbiteWilliams for starting today's thread. Thanks for the insight. I'm a middle guy (5'9"', 180 #) who lost 30 # after I retired - no longer stress eating/drinking and in good shape for the shape I'm in. One beer a day (or maybe none or maybe two), no longer power drink and in general have lost interest.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Wow! This one needs to mellow out! It burns, and not in a good way. Smells somewhat like nutmeg and burns like pure alcohol. Definitely let this one warm up and preferably age. Rating 3.43, rDev -20%

This is a "what beer are you drinking now?" thread. Don't turn it into a beer tolerance thread, your post may get deleted. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok. Thanks for the advice. I will stick to posting beer pics only although I will be tempted to post oysters pics too.

Happy Thursday everyone! Thanks @DogbiteWilliams for opening the bar. I'm a slim guy too. You can get there by drinking in moderation. My booze tolerance is built overtime.

Starting with a serving of veggies, Other Half Broccoli.

New Glarus Apple Ale, which I regret not having with my breakfast this morning. Straight-up apple cider, with a light malty backbone and notes of tart apple lingering on the finish. I could drink this all day, so it's probably a good thing this is the only one I have. Cheers!

Okay, here's a thought: What if they ran the New Glarus bottle-cap thumbprint through the IAFIS and found out it belonged to a serial killer or something?

Morning, BAs! I just officially completed a duty that I never expected to do again, but, well, here we are. A couple months of delivering sandwiches ain't that bad. Celebrating with some Jersey Mike's (not pictured) and some CBS.

    G'day all!

The splendid weather continues in Casper and I'm a happy camper.

This Sixpoint Wintry Fix is certainly heavy with the spices. I have mixed feelings aboot it so I will wait until I have my second can before I review it.

    Prost!
