Long day…first beer today - Anderson Valley’s West Coast IPA:



West Coast baby! Bitter citrus and pine. Malt forward. Long bitter linger. Cheers y’all!

 

Boulevard Brewing Whiskey Barrel Stout (11.8%): A BBA Imperial Stout from KC with flavors of rich chocolate, bourbon, caramel, maple, and some yeasty spices. Sweet.

First try here. Pours beautifully. Strong aromas. Rich chocolate, caramel, maple notes. Hides the alcohol and the sweetness minimally. Some yeast and spices linger off the end. A little sweet. Booze shows a bit with a bite. The flavors are good though. Glad to try it, but not memorable.

 

Staying on the Saison train today, this one from Blackberry Farms in Tennessee. Solid farmhouse ale!

G'afternoon BA's!

Got home from the visit, and under the hood inspection, at the colorectal surgeon a little while ago. Surgery on the 22nd and then...well not sure what the oncologist is gonna want to do.

More fun on the horizon....fuckin beer me!!


Trying to remain upbeat and positive...Trying as I am a cynic by nature.

Another new to me beer - Phase Three’s “Pixel Density” IPA with Citra:



An easy drinking Hazy Lite. Lemon grassy. No to very little bitterness. Cheers y’all!

 

That almost qualifies as “Born Yesterday” DIPA

Before I go into today, just want to send my condolences to you Tim @SawDog505 and your entire family for the passing of your father. Pulling a local hazy in his honor.

@beerjerk666 - Hope everything leading up to your surgery, the procedure and recovery all go as planned.

Another pull from the cellar today, will be the same at home weekdays through the end of this Leap Year February.
