Joining @jzeilinger with some Big 10 Basketball. My Fighting Illini are taking on Michigan State today.

Got a big old Chicago style pizza, at the only place in town that does it right here. With a classic, Obsidian Stout in the glass.

I'll most likely be back after that game :sunglasses:

    G'afternoon BA's!

One more from the beach, before we head back.

Unfortunately this beer is disappointing, as is typically the case with 3 Daughters beers.
Oh, well, the view makes up for it.

    Cheers!

    1) Paulaner Muncher Hell (4.9%): A German helles with flavors of earthy honey and German bread. A smooth finish.
    versus
    2) Weihenstephaner Original Premium (5.1%): A German Helles with flavors of pale Munich malts, honeysuckle with light floral notes. Bready and smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Weihenstephaner Original Premium:
German Helles Battle. Paulaner vs Weihenstpehaner. Paulaner is very flavorful, slightly more smooth. The next is Weihenstephaner, which is very similar, but slightly more carbonated and bready. I've done this battle before, and I think Weihenstephaner always comes out with slightly better flavors.

Happy Saturday ba. Single bottle revisit to this for the hell of it. Not in love with the style, by any stretch, but this is still decent stuff,

Having a harbinger of spring - Wachusett Quinn's Amber Ale. I usually get this every year - there's no date on the bottle or packaging, but I know it's fresh. Surprisingly good this year, seems more robust and has a nice breadiness to it. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon.

Another new to me beer courtesy of @beergoot - TRVE Brewing’s “Star Crusher” IPA:

Pacific Sun, Motueka and Cascade hops. A new flavor profile for me - spicy orange nose; citrus, berries, melon and mango tastes. Interesting. Thanks Dave!

I’m sitting on my balcony, the sun is bright (80° in the shade) with a strong breeze is whistling through the condo. Getting some sun on my legs…not the same as being at the beach, but I’ll take it. Cheers y’all!

NBW and ISIL cross-post. Central Waters Brewing Twenty Six. The most recent anniversary barrel-aged stout. I drank cups of Busch Light and cigarettes the morning after a fraternity party that tasted better.
