Good Friday BA's, how do you do? 3.5 mile walk complete (of course the wife did 5 miles with ankle weights and dumbbells) and some floors cleaned. Equilibrium Stratosphere DIPA is tasting great! Headed to about 75 degrees today then mid 50's with rain on Sat/Sun. Doesn't look good for a Sunday Daytona 500 unless the weather guys are way off.

Hello again BAs. Thanks @RaulMondesi for 4136. Pullin' up a seat at the VB here with a can of Bell's Change Of Heart Experimental Black IPA. These folks put the 'spearmint' in 'experimental' right? :nerd::laughing: Good thing I have an audience sun bathing right here at my little basement bar. Cheers!

The weatherman says it is 68°…my thermometer reads 72°. Either way I’ll take it this overcast hazy, SW FL afternoon, with an occasional slight breeze. Cheers y’all!

Stone FML. As long as this batch last in the supermarket (here in The Netherlands). Relatively friendly priced at 3,99 for a single.
Produced in the US. As far as I know the Stone place in Berlin was sold to Brewdog some years ago and there is no production in Europe anymore. I guess Stone picked the wrong country to expand. 3,99 (or more) for a can of beer ..., in Germany
    Cheers

Tonka Weiss - Boom Island Brewing - Minnetonka, MN - Hefeweizen - 5.6% ABV

I got this from when we had a tasting from them at work. It should have been a NBW beer, but I kept missing it in the fridge. Delicious Hefe.

    From a 16oz can

This is a very extremely clear golden pouring beer. I do get some haze when I hold it to the light. The head is a white colored head, and 2 finger. Overall decent retention, but no lacing on the glass.
There's a good amount of aroma to this beer. I did get a bubblegum vibe while pouring. Up close I get that, plus a ton of banana and cloves. Very strong and pleasing.
Taste - This is a solid hefe. I am getting the flavors of banana and cloves and they are quite powerful. I do get a somewhat of a Belgian vibe here also with hints of bubblegum.
The body is very smooth and decent feeling. Full feeling overall.
This is quite tasty. I am a fan of this style, and this is a good beer in the style.

No, to put it bluntly, the new labels suck!!

    1. Michigan’s Concerns:
      • Michigan Liquor Control Commission rules state that alcoholic beverage labels should not depict or reference minors in any way.
      • The baby on the Breakfast Stout label was deemed problematic because it could be seen as promoting underage drinking.

It's absolutely absurd that they think having a baby on the bottle is encouraging underage drinking. Are babies secretly filling their bottles with beer and turning into sots? I don't think so.

Genuine La Trappe as far as I can tell. Koningshoeven is the name of the La Trappe Abbey.
Don't know about their international labeling, but it looks rather old to me.
Good to hear this bock keeps up over time ! A wild guess would be: over 10 years old.
    Cheers!
